Feature Summary
Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
Ready for Use by End Users Reports plus Small Scale UI or Process-Based new features will have minimal user impact after an update. Therefore, customer acceptance testing should focus on the Larger Scale UI or Process-Based* new features. |
Customer Must Take Action before Use by End Users Not disruptive as action is required to make these features ready to use. As you selectively choose to leverage, you set your test and roll out timing. |

Talent Management Replaced or Removed Features
Talent Management Classic Pages Removed
Oracle Cloud HCM Talent Management customers who are still using the Classic pages must transition to the modern, feature-rich, intuitive Responsive pages in 23B. Customers using the Classic pages in one of the following Talent Management applications are affected: Career Development, Goal Management, Performance Management, Profile Management Classic Version, Succession Management, or Talent Review.

Tips And Considerations
If you have not already enabled Responsive pages, please take the following steps now:
- Evaluate your Classic pages personalization and determine what to reapply after the transition to Responsive pages.
- If you use Goal Management and Career Development, you must close out “in transit” transactions and create new approval rules for the approval framework used in Responsive pages.
- If you are still using Profile Management Classic Version, you must complete the migration to Profile Management Version 2 prior to the enablement of Responsive pages.

Career Development Diagnostics
Run the Goal Management Diagnostics Report process to generate reports that will help you to identify and fix issues in your Career Development implementation by yourself.
The report generated uses masking characters to secure data in various sections. Check the Goal Management Diagnostics Report Hide Columns (ORA_HRG_DIAGREPORT_HIDE_COLUMN) lookup to identify the secured columns. If you want to mask other columns, add the column name to this lookup.
The Goal Management Diagnostics Report process accepts these parameters:
- Person Number: The person number of the worker for whom you’re generating the diagnostic report.
- Duration: Specify the number of days before the current date you want to select active goal plans. The default value of this parameter is 720.
Rename the extension of the output file of the report to .html to view the report. The report is divided into sections. Click the link to view the section content. Some development goals related sections are:
- Development Goal data for worker: You can view development goal information such as the details of the development goals assigned to the worker, transaction data, lookup values, and development goal setup details.
- Goals Profile Options and other configurations: You can view profile option settings, flexfields configured, notifications setup, and bypass approval settings.
- Goal Management Diagnostic Lookup Values: You can view the ORA_HRG_DIAGREPORT_HIDE_COLUMN lookup codes that have been used for the report. These are the secured columns.
Run the Check Goal Data Integrity process to fix the issues listed in this table.
Issue | Solution |
---|---|
Stuck classic transactions |
Abort the transactions by updating the transaction status to Aborted. |
Locked development plan when approvals are pending |
Update goal version type code to Active. |
Only these parameters of the Check Goal Data Integrity process are relevant for checking the integrity of development goals transactions:
- Action: The action for the integrity check. You can preview the results or update the results. This is based on the Goal Data Integrity Check Action (ORA_HRG_DATA_INTEG_CHEK_ACTION) lookup.
- Person Number: Enter the person number of the worker whose development plan you want to check. This is an optional parameter.
After the process completes, download the .csv and log files to view the results of the integrity check.
Ensure the smooth operation of career development in your organization with the processes outlined in this feature. When you encounter development goal related issues that you can’t resolve on your own, turn to Oracle Support for expert assistance. Take control of your development plan integrity and streamline your troubleshooting efforts.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
The default purge period for the development goals integrity check data is 365 days. If you want to change this, you need to create the HRG_DATA_INTEG_CHK_PURGE_PRD profile option with these values.

Value |
---|---|
Profile Display Name |
A suitable name, such as Data Integrity Check Purge Period |
Application |
Goal Management |

Then edit the profile option and set its value to the number of days you want to retain the integrity check data.

Talent Review
Oracle Talent Review is an analytic product enabling your organization to review and evaluate data from the profile, performance, goals, career development, and compensation management solutions.
Facilitator View Access to Potential Assessment
From this release, facilitators can view the potential assessment ratings saved or submitted by reviewers. They can do this if potential assessment is enabled for the Talent Review meeting. Facilitators need to select a member of the review population on the meeting dashboard and then select the View Potential Assessment action. Note that facilitators can select only one member of the review population at a time.
Facilitators can also select the View Potential Assessment action from the table view of the dashboard.
Facilitators can then view the most recent saved or submitted potential assessment responses and rating for the selected member of the review population. Note that they can’t edit the responses.
Enhance your talent review process by providing additional information about the review population to the meeting facilitator.
Steps to Enable
Potential assessment must be enabled both in the meeting template and in the meeting configuration.
To enable potential assessment in the meeting template:
- Use the Configure Talent Review Dashboard Options task available in the Setup and Maintenance work area.
- Create a new template or edit an existing template.
- In the Data Options section of the template, select the Enable Potential Assessment check box.
- From the Potential Assessment Questionnaire list, select the questionnaire.
To enable potential assessment in the meeting configuration:
- Go to My Client Groups > Talent Review.
- Edit or create a meeting configuration.
- In the Review Content section, select the Potential check box to include the potential rating.
- Select the Enable Potential Assessment check box.
- From the adjacent list, select the potential assessment questionnaire.
Tips And Considerations
- If a reviewer has saved or submitted multiple potential assessments for a member of the review population, then the facilitator will see only the most recent response.
- If multiple reviewers have completed a potential assessment for a member of the review population, then the facilitator will see only the most recently saved or submitted assessment regardless of who submitted it.
- To prevent facilitators from viewing the potential assessments of member of the review population, administrators can use Page Composer to hide the View Potential Assessment action. But note that reviewers will still be able to view potential assessments of their team members and submit ratings.

This subject area is secured by the same duty role that secures the other existing succession subject areas.
Secured Owner Dimension In Succession Subject Areas
You can now secure the owner information from being displayed, if the logged in person has no access to the owner details.
If the logged in person does not have access to the Succession Plan Owner, depending on their public person security profile, then the owner name and their details renders blank. However, the plan and other details related to plans continue to render data based on the plan security.
The changes are applied to the Owner dimension in the following subject areas:
- Workforce Succession Management - Plan Candidates Real Time
- Workforce Succession Management - Incumbents Plan Real Time
- Workforce Succession Management - Job Plans Real Time
- Workforce Succession Management - Position Plans Real Time
