Meet Our EMEA Recruiters

Åsa Jönsson

Asa Jonsson

Recruitment Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden

I’m the recruiter for the Nordic countries. I work closely with key universities to identify the right candidates and connect them with Oracle student and graduate openings. We recruit students for internships, and, after graduation, as junior full-time employees kick-starting their careers at Oracle. I'm looking for candidates who have attained an MSc in a relevant field and show ambition and interest in their career. They should show a desire to grow, develop, and add value in their area of expertise.

I joined Oracle in July 2011 and prior to that I worked for recruitment agencies in Sweden, Ireland, and Spain. I have a degree in behavioral science with additional studies in labour law, business economics, and business psychology.

In my spare time, I love horseback riding. I’m also learning to kite surf.

I am looking for young professionals who are ready to begin their careers with an international company. I hire candidates who have an educational background in IT or business and who are eager to learn and grow. There are endless opportunities at Oracle, so the candidates I select are open to change and professional growth.

I have a background in business economics and management, which has helped me understand Oracle’s business.

In my free time I like to bake, ride my scooter, and try various types of wines.

I am based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am a graduate recruiter for South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, and UAE. I have more than six years’ experience in recruitment in various industries. My previous experience was at a recruitment agency specializing in IT and finance executive and managerial positions.

I am a free-spirited, positive person who loves interacting with different people. I enjoy traveling, going to the gym, reading, networking, and seeing live music performances.

Lavinia Protopopescu

Senior Graduate Recruiter for Romania

I have been with Oracle Romania for many years in different roles. Working for the recruitment organization, particularly as a graduate recruiter, is a very rewarding position. I get to meet many young, talented, and enthusiastic professionals. I organize or participate in career events, where I inform students about the exciting career opportunities they can have either in software or hardware organizations, or in finance, communications, or operational groups.

I was born and raised in Bucharest. Although I love city life, I am equally fond of the mountains and seaside.
