Oracle Develop Tracks
Oracle Fusion Development
In this track, you'll learn about the technologies used to develop Oracle Fusion Applications. Covering Oracle JDeveloper, Oracle Application Development Framework, and service-oriented architecture (SOA), the sessions in this track show you how Oracle simplifies Java-based SOA application development with frameworks and a declarative development approach. Learn to build rich internet applications that interact with your database and other enterprise applications. Get a head start on the development environment that will be used to extend and customize the next generation of Oracle Fusion Applications.
Java
Get up to date on the latest trends in the world of Java and the infrastructure that will make your application perform. From the Java Virtual Machine through the development environment and to the deployment platform, this track offers tips and tricks to help you make the most out of your development environment. Topics covered include extreme scalability with coherence, Java Persistence API (JPA), next-generation JavaServer Faces (JSF), Java-based Web services, JVM tuning, deployment architectures, and more.
Rich Internet Application
Learn how to build the next generation of your user interfaces in this track. Create dynamic and appealing Web applications with rich functionality and add Web 2.0 capabilities to them. Sessions will cover technologies, development tools, and languages that can simplify the development of your applications. Hands-on labs will dive into topics such as Ajax, Oracle ADF Faces rich client components, Oracle WebCenter, PHP, Ruby, and more.
Embedded Technology
Learn how to embed Oracle Database, Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database, Oracle Berkeley Database, and Oracle Database Lite within your application, device, or equipment, such that your product includes the Oracle technology and runs without human administration. Oracle provides the industry's broadest selection of embeddable databases to meet the diverse requirements of developers who must meet highly demanding requirements for performance, scalability, availability, and cost.
.NET
Get the latest on Oracle's offerings for .NET programmers in this track, including the Oracle Data Provider for .NET, the Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio, Oracle Providers for ASP.NET, and .NET stored procedures. Hands-on labs will offer the opportunity for both beginners and experts to explore and learn more: Create a basic .NET Web application for Oracle using Microsoft Visual Studio, use Visual Studio wizards and designers to create database schema objects and auto-generate .NET code, create a .NET stored procedure in Oracle Database, debug PL/SQL in Visual Studio, leverage database change notification with .NET callbacks, and learn tips and techniques to optimize application performance in .NET.
Database
In this track, you will learn about the many Oracle Database application development environments and tools, including PL/SQL and Java in the database; Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) and Oracle's Universal Connection Pool (UCP); advanced facilities for managing unstructured data in the database such as Oracle XML DB, Oracle Spatial, Oracle Multimedia, and DICOM medical imaging; support for scripting languages such as PHP and Ruby; Oracle Application Express for rapid, declarative application development; Oracle SQL Developer for the DBA; and Oracle Secure Enterprise Search and Oracle Text capabilities.
