Leveraging Big Data with Talent Management Platforms

Palace Hotel, Ralston Room

Read Abstract

Scout is the world’s largest recruitment marketplace, directly integrated within the Oracle Taleo product family, connecting employers with specialized recruiters. Using proprietary matching technology, Scout is able to make quality connections by matching job reqs with recruiters best suited to filling each job, rather than using the outdated methodology of matching a job req with a candidate’s résumé. Leveraging big data, Scout is able to sniff out the best candidates for those hard-to-fill niche positions while enabling employers to better invest their time with the most-suitable candidates. Employers use Scout to decrease the amount of time it takes to fill a position as well as save on agency spending.

Ken Lazarus, Scout

What Does a Vanilla SaaS Compensation Implementation Look Like?

Palace Hotel, Ralston Room

Read Abstract

Oracle Fusion Human Capital Management (HCM) offers customers maximum flexibility for picking and choosing their implementation footprint. The SaaS, hosted, and on-premises models enable a company to determine its strategy and evaluate risk when selecting from a wide variety of Oracle Fusion HCM tools. Part of the Oracle Fusion HCM suite, Oracle Fusion Workforce Compensation has quickly become one of the most popular Oracle Fusion modules. This fast growth has left many people wondering just what a true vanilla implementation looks like. This presentation defines a vanilla implementation and clarifies the difference between SaaS, hosted, and on-premises implementations. It then answers the most common question of all: “Why do I need fast formulas?”

Anton Rzhanov, KBACE Technologies, Inc.

12:00 p.m.–12:20 p.m.
How to Solve Your Organization’s Biggest Recruiting Challenge

Palace Hotel, Ralston Room

Read Abstract

Talent acquisition consists of two key functions: talent generation (finding, attracting, and engaging candidates) and applicant tracking (automating the hiring process for those who have applied for jobs). The function of tracking applicants has largely been solved by applicant tracking systems (ATSs) such as Oracle’s PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Manager, Oracle iRecruitment, and Oracle Taleo Recruiting Cloud Service. But regardless of which ATS an organization chooses, none will solve what is often cited as being the #1 recruiting challenge: finding good candidates. This session shows how organizations can complement their existing Oracle HCM system with a talent generation solution designed to solve the growing challenge of finding, attracting, and engaging top talent.

Mike Vilimek, Talemetry

12:30 p.m.–12:50 p.m.

The presentation provides insight into the benefits and value that innovative HCM solutions—strengthened by a combination of Oracle Fusion Applications, Oracle Fusion Middleware, Oracle engineered systems, and emerging cloud technologies—can drive for your business.
