Biometrics in the Workplace

Moscone South Exhibition Hall, Booth 739

Read Abstract

In this session, CSC conveys details about the integration of biometric time clocks with any ERP system and helps attendees understand the importance of and key considerations required for integrating with a ERP system. They help avoid human error in recording, calculating, and keying in time and eliminate “time theft”—unauthorized overtime and payment for nonworked time, including tardiness, early exits, extended breaks, and absences. This indicates that the average payback time or return on investment of implementing an automated time-and-attendance system is five months, with the median ROI of the system being reported as 469 percent overall, with 75 percent of those who automated achieving an ROI of more than 250 percent.

Rest Assured, Your (Data) Integrity Is Safe With Us!

Moscone South Exhibition Hall, Booth 739

Read Abstract

Database administrators face many challenges in developing and supporting applications. One of the concerns is the integrity of data as it travels the I/O path between applications on a server and disk drives in a storage area network (SAN). Although there are many features designed to ensure data integrity, including logical integrity checks, error-correcting code (ECC), and cyclic redundancy check (CRC), increasing complexity in the data center environment and growth in storage have led to additional concerns about silent data corruption. Come to this session to see how Emulex works with Oracle and the industry storage leaders to help detect and correct silent data corruption to improve database uptime.

How to Solve Your Organization’s Biggest Recruiting Challenge

Palace Hotel, Ralston Room

Read Abstract

Talent acquisition consists of two key functions: talent generation (finding, attracting, and engaging candidates) and applicant tracking (automating the hiring process for those who have applied for jobs). The function of tracking applicants has largely been solved by applicant tracking systems (ATSs) such as Oracle’s PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Manager, Oracle iRecruitment, and Oracle Taleo Recruiting Cloud Service. But regardless of which ATS an organization chooses, none will solve what is often cited as being the #1 recruiting challenge: finding good candidates. This session shows how organizations can complement their existing Oracle HCM system with a talent generation solution designed to solve the growing challenge of finding, attracting, and engaging top talent.
