Oracle OpenWorld Opening Ceremonies

Okay, so it’s not quite as elaborate as the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. But you’ll most definitely want to attend the Opening Ceremonies for Oracle OpenWorld 2012 on Sunday, September 30.

Centered in Yerba Buena Gardens (YBG) and shimmying out to other venues, the Opening Ceremonies are not to be missed. Join other attendees for great food, generous drink, and captivating conversation.

To light up the night even more we’ll have great music to listen or dance to from the London-based BluesMix, who blend vintage funk with soulful blues to produce a sound uniquely their own.

While you’re at YBG (home of ORACLE TEAM USA’s America’s Cup Pavilion), be sure to meet the sailors who will be defending the 34th America’s Cup in 2013. Get a good look at the 161-year old Trophy itself—the oldest trophy still being contested in international sport. And at the AC72 boat display, view a model of the largest wingsail ever built.

Be sure to join us for these Opening Ceremonies. We might not have fireworks, but we’ll definitely have a blast.

Time: 7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.
Location: Yerba Buena Gardens & Howard Street Tent
