Oracle SQL Developer 3.1: Certified Databases and Platforms

Oracle SQL Developer is certified on the following platforms and for the following production Oracle and non-Oracle (third-party) databases. Any issues on platforms or databases not listed will only be considered when reproduced on a certified combination.

Multi-user Environments

Oracle SQL Developer is supported in the following multi-user environments:

Third Party Database Certification

Oracle SQL Developer can be used to browse and migrate objects and data from a number of third-party databases, and is certified against the following third-party databases:

Microsoft SQL Server SQL Server 7 For Microsoft SQL Server a JDBC driver is required. Use the jtds-1.2.jar, included in jtds-1.2-dist.zip available from sourceforge.net.

MySQL MySQL 3.x For MySQL a JDBC is driver required. Use mysql-connector-java-5.0.4-bin.jar, which is included in mysql-connector-java-5.0.4.zip available from mysql.com.
  MySQL 4.x  
  MySQL 5.x  
Sybase Adaptive Server Sybase 12 For Sybase a JDBC driver is required. Use the jtds-1.2.jar, included in jtds-1.2-dist.zip available from sourceforge.net.
  Sybase 15  
Teradata Teradata 12, 13 JDBC driver files tdgssconfig.jar and terajdbc4.jar required; included in the TeraJDBC_indep_indep.12.00.00.110.zip or TeraJDBC_indep_indep.12.00.00.110.tar download.

NOTE: Do not use the latest MySQL driver 5.1. Use the 5.0.4 drivers for MySQL.

JDK Support

Oracle SQL Developer is certified against JDK 1.6.11 or above.
