Oracle Honours Customer Innovation with Oracle Aconex Connect Awards

Asia-Pacific Region Honourees include China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co. LTD, China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd., Lahey Constructions Pty Ltd., Lendlease, New South Wales Department of Justice, and Scentre Group

Oracle has announced the winners of the Oracle Aconex Connect Awards in Asia-Pacific (APAC). Now in its third year, the global awards honour customers worldwide for innovation in delivering significant construction and engineering projects efficiently and effectively. Winners for the Americas and Europe, Middle-East and Africa (EMEA) regions were announced separately.

As the industry matures, so does customer technology adoption and optimisation. These customers, who have demonstrated exceptional results using Oracle Aconex products are at the forefront of embracing digital transformation to improve outcomes for all project participants. They typically see this positive change through greater process efficiency, project-wide visibility, and new insights helping to drive more informed business decisions and continuous improvement.

Select results from the 2018 APAC Connect Awards winners:

  • China Railway Major Bridge Engineering Group Co. had their project team up and running within three weeks compared to three months using their previous solution.
  • Lahey Constructions has leveraged Aconex to improve overall operational efficiency, helping to double their revenue in 18 months.
  • Scentre Group, owner and operator of Westfield in Australia and New Zealand saves two-three months using Aconex to eliminate the overlap between the Construction and Facilities Management teams.
 

Aconex customers were nominated for the Oracle Aconex Connect Awards in three categories:

  • Hero Award – championing change in projects to minimise risk and save costs.
  • Project Award – collaborating effectively across project teams for successful delivery.
  • Enterprise Award – standardising best project practices across enterprise portfolios.

  • Insitu Group – Hero Award to Brooke Smith for Excellence in Company-Wide Implementation.
  • Lahey Constructions Pty. Ltd. – Enterprise Award for Excellence in Process Improvement Enabling Exponential Company Growth.
  • Lendlease – Enterprise Award for Excellence in Process Improvement Supporting Employee Retention and a Hero Award to Jerome Harris for Excellence in Company-Wide Tiered Standardisation.
  • New South Wales Department of Justice – Enterprise Award for Excellence in Progress Claims Management on a Government Project.
  • Richard Crookes Constructions Pty Ltd – Hero Award to Tyrone Padayachee for Excellence in Advanced BIM Implementation.
  • Scentre Group – Hero Award to Meliza Batain for Excellence in Handover Management.
 

Global honorees of the 2018 Oracle Aconex Connect Award include: Aguas Pacífico SpA, Austin Industries, Colorado High Performance Transportation Enterprise, Faithful + Gould (member of the SNC-Lavalin Group), Scentre Group (owner and operator of Westfield in Australia and New Zealand), Turner & Townsend Company, Valley Metro and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, among others.
