JDK 26 delivers ten enhancements that are significant enough to warrant their own JDK Enhancement Proposal (JEP), including four preview features and one incubator feature plus thousands of additional improvements. These features cover innovations to the Java language, including improvements to security libraries, performance and runtime enhancements, and updated monitoring capabilities.
