Shaily AI Future

Over the past decade, India has undergone one of the world’s most significant digital transformations. What began as an effort to digitize services and expand access has evolved into something far more consequential: the emergence of an intelligent, technology-driven economy. Today, artificial intelligence is accelerating this shift—reshaping industries, redefining skills, and unlocking new pathways for innovation and inclusive growth.

We are at a pivotal moment. The transition from Digital India to intelligent India is not simply a technology shift; it is a national opportunity. Across sectors and organisations of every size, there is a collective move from experimenting with AI to operating with AI. The question is no longer whether AI will transform business but how quickly and responsibly, and whether it can be done at the scale required to realise that transformation.

Intelligence is becoming core to the enterprise—embedded in decision making, customer engagement, productivity, and operational resilience. AI, cloud, intelligent applications, and data-driven systems are converging to reshape how businesses operate, how governments serve citizens, and how people learn, work, and grow. As a result, AI adoption is accelerating at an unprecedented pace.

From manufacturing to healthcare and financial services to government services, AI is already delivering measurable impact—improving quality and efficiency, enabling smarter decisions, and opening new possibilities across even the most traditional sectors.

Government organisations such as the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trademarks (CGPDTM) under Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, are leading this transformation. As part of its efforts to strengthen India’s industrial ecosystem and improve ease of doing business, CGPDTM modernised its trademark application platform using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI AI Infrastructure and Oracle Autonomous AI Database . The AI-powered platform has significantly improved the efficiency of trademark applications by enabling fast, self-service, and data-driven clearance checks. Applicants and agents can now quickly search existing trademarks before filing, helping them choose distinctive marks, avoid potential conflicts, and reduce the likelihood of objections or legal disputes—while accelerating overall trademark clearances.

Similar transformation stories are unfolding across industries. Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB), one of India’s oldest private banks, is using embedded AI capabilities in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to increase efficiency, improve insights and deliver modern banking experiences. With an integrated suite of AI-powered cloud applications, TMB has been able to unify core operations and leverage AI to automate processes, reduce costs, increase productivity, and improve customer satisfaction.

TVS Credit, a non-banking financial company and part of the TVS Group, is leveraging OCI Data Science and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse to enhance credit scoring, process vast data sets more efficiently, and accelerate loan processing—helping customers access financial solutions faster and more efficiently.

This momentum across industries is underpinned by India’s strong digital public infrastructure and a uniquely young, dynamic talent base. The energy, curiosity, and adaptability of India’s workforce gives the country a distinct advantage in scaling AI, both responsibly and rapidly. Oracle University’s training programs and certifications in cloud, data, and AI are helping students and early-career professionals develop the skills to drive the next wave of innovation. Oracle’s recent collaborations with Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation, National Skill Development Corporation and with West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation Limited further advance this mission. The growing demand for these programs signals a clear reality: India’s talent is not just eager to participate in the AI era but ready to lead it.

India’s startup ecosystem is also emerging as a global testbed for AI innovation. From generative AI in customer service to AI-first cybersecurity platforms and industry-specific solutions for logistics, education, and climate resilience, Indian start-ups are pushing boundaries with confidence and ambition. A strong example is Convin.ai, an AI-powered contact center startup that uses OCI to build and train large language models to automate quality assurance, uncover performance-driving behaviours, and deliver personalized coaching at scale. With OCI’s scalability, security, and performance, Convin.ai boosted operational performance by nearly 15 percent while benefiting from lower costs compared to what other cloud platforms provide.

For decades, our customers have trusted us to support their most critical systems. With a comprehensive cloud portfolio spanning infrastructure, platform, data, and applications – with AI embedded across the entire stack – we are helping organizations innovate faster, address regulatory requirements, and scale with confidence.

As we look ahead, the priorities are clear. We must continue investing in skills, strengthening trust in AI systems, fostering open innovation, and helping ensure that organizations of every size – including large enterprises, midsized businesses, and emerging startups – can access world-class AI capabilities. With the right combination of technology, talent, and ambition, India is uniquely positioned to shape its own intelligent future and make a meaningful impact on the global stage.

The journey from Digital India to intelligent India is already underway. Now is the time to accelerate it – boldly, inclusively, and with a shared sense of purpose.
