Execution

Pearson deployed Oracle Recruiting Cloud Service to 65 countries in 5 languages. Working on a global basis, the team completed the implementation within ten months, including building an employee portal, putting in place two new shared service centers and creating a new reporting warehouse.

Pearson created a global HR design authority to operate as an independent body throughout the project. The team ran global design workshops around the world, working with representatives from each country to capture local requirements. The global design authority then consolidated all requirements into a solution design document which acted as a blueprint for the implementation.

A crucial part of the project was change management; Pearson’s team needed to manage expectations and develop effective strategies to transition to new global processes where individual countries were previously using different systems and processes.
