Pre-Update and Post-Update Tasks
Depending on the features you're using in your Cloud applications, you may be required to perform certain steps immediately before or after your quarterly update. For details of these pre-update and post-update steps and the product areas that are affected, refer to Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM: Performing Your Quarterly Update (doc ID 2337485.1) on My Oracle Support.
Optional Uptake of New Features (Opt In)
Oracle Cloud Applications delivers new updates every quarter. This means every three months you'll receive new functionality to help you efficiently and effectively manage your business. Some features are delivered Enabled meaning they are immediately available to end users. Other features are delivered Disabled meaning you have to take action to make available. Features delivered Disabled can be activated for end users by stepping through the following instructions using the following privileges:
- Review Applications Offering (ASM_REVIEW_APPLICATIONS_OFFERINGS_PRIV)
- Configure Oracle Fusion Applications Offering (ASM_CONFIGURE_OFFERING_PRIV)
Here’s how you opt in to new features:
- Click Navigator > My Enterprise > New Features.
- On the Features Overview page, select your offering to review new features specific to it. Or, you can leave the default selection All Enabled Offerings to review new features for all offerings.
- On the New Features tab, review the new features and check the opt-in status of the feature in the Enabled column. If a feature has already been enabled, you will see a check mark. Otherwise, you will see an icon to enable the feature.
- Click the icon in the Enabled column and complete the steps to enable the feature.
In some cases, you might want to opt in to a feature that's not listed in the New Features work area. Here's how to opt in:
- Click Navigator > My Enterprise > Offerings.
- On the Offerings page, select your offering, and then click Opt In Features.
- On the Opt In page, click the Edit Features (pencil) icon for the offering, or for the functional area that includes your feature.
- On the Edit Features page, complete the steps to enable the feature.
For more information and detailed instructions on opting in to new features for your offering, see Configure Offerings.
Opt In Expiration
Occasionally, features delivered Disabled via Opt In may be enabled automatically in a future update. This is known as an Opt In Expiration. If your cloud service has any Opt In Expirations you will see a related tab in this document. Click on that tab to see when the feature was originally delivered Disabled, and when the Opt In will expire, potentially automatically enabling the feature. You can also click here to see features with Opt In Expirations across all Oracle Cloud Applications.
Column Definitions:
Report = New or modified, Oracle-delivered, ready to run reports.
UI or Process-Based: Small Scale = These UI or process-based features are typically comprised of minor field, validation, or program changes. Therefore, the potential impact to users is minimal.
UI or Process-Based: Larger Scale* = These UI or process-based features have more complex designs. Therefore, the potential impact to users is higher.
Features Delivered Disabled = Action is needed BEFORE these features can be used by END USERS. These features are delivered disabled and you choose if and when to enable them. For example, a) new or expanded BI subject areas need to first be incorporated into reports, b) Integration is required to utilize new web services, or c) features must be assigned to user roles before they can be accessed.
Use REST API to Get Supply Sources for Internal Material Transfers
Use the availableSupplySources REST resource to get the supply sources that can fulfill a request for an internal material transfer. Get the one source that can most effectively fulfill the request, or get a list of up to six sources, ranked according to how effectively they can fulfill the request. Get the actual quantity that's currently on hand in each source.
Add flexibility to how you select and use the supply source for each of your internal material transfers.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- Use the findBestAvailableSupplySource finder to get the most effective source.
- Use the findAllAvailableSupplySources finder to get the list of all supply sources. This finder gets a maximum of 6 sources, ranked according to how effectively each one fulfills the request.
- Get the actual quantity that's currently on hand for each supply source.
- You can only read data, so you can use only the GET operation.

Use Service Mappings to Extend Supply Chain Orchestration's Integration with Inventory
Use a service mapping to help integrate your Oracle applications. Use the service mapping to meet your specific integration requirements in your transfer order flow. Create a sales order in Oracle Order Management, orchestrate supply in Oracle Supply Chain Orchestration, then create a transfer order in Oracle Inventory Management. As an option, use an extensible flexfield to integrate data that's specific to your implementation. You can also use a service mapping to integrate data that travels from planning and purchasing, to supply chain orchestration, and then to inventory.
For example, here's a service mapping that uses the TransferOrderRequest entity in the TransferRequestSource service to send a request to create a transfer order from Supply Chain Orchestration to inventory:
Modify supply orchestration data so it meets your requirements.
Watch a Demo.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.

Tips And Considerations
- Make sure your integration can send the validations that Inventory Management applies. Your request payload might be fine, but Inventory Management might not accept the request.
- Check for empty values when you write expressions in your integration algorithm, especially when you for query more than one request line. A empty value at runtime might create errors.
- If you encounter an error, fix it, then use the Supply Chain Orchestration work area to resubmit your request.

Selected Supply Chain Orchestration Bug Fixes in This Update
This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Supply Chain Orchestration works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.
Create Transfer Orders That Are Valid When You Import Through File-Based Data Import
Before update 23B, if you used the DosSupplyOrderImportTemplate.xlsm file to import a transfer request, and if the project details in your import weren't valid, then the Load Interface File for Import scheduled process finished successfully, reported the error in its error log, and the Process Supply Chain Orchestration Interface scheduled process created the transfer order without project details.
After you update to 23B, if the project details in your import aren't valid, then the Process Supply Chain Orchestration Interface scheduled process won't create the transfer order but will instead report the error in its error log.

Map the Project Organization ID from Supply Chain Orchestration to Procurement
Before update 23B, Oracle Supply Chain Orchestration ignored any mapping that you provided for the ProjectOrganizationId attribute to Oracle Fusion Cloud Procurement. After you update to 23B, if you map the ProjectOrganizationId attribute to Oracle Procurement, then Supply Chain Orchestration will include it when it communicates supply details to Procurement.

Collaboration Messaging Framework
Collaboration Messaging Framework
Log In-Process Inbound B2B Messages
Inbound B2B messages are logged after all setup validations are completed and before processing begins. You can see a list of inbound messages that are In-Process on the Collaboration Messaging History page. After processing is complete, the status updates to reflect the outcome.
When a message with multiple instances of the same document type is received, the original message status is Received. The message status of each instance is In-Process. The message ID generated for each instance is a concatenation of the original message ID and a number representing the counter of the document type.
Message with Multiple Instances of an Inbound Invoice
You can check the latest status of messages by using the new action Refresh Status. And the Refresh and Download Payloads buttons have been replaced with icons, as shown below.
New Action Refresh Status and Icons for Refresh and Download Payloads
Now you can see a log of the inbound messages being processed early in the process flow. You can check the message status and submit them for reprocessing if there are errors.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
When a message contains multiple instances of a B2B document, you can find all documents received in that message on the Collaboration Messaging History page. To retrieve those documents, enter the original Message ID followed by a percent sign (for example, IN_81046%) in the Message ID search criteria.

Update Rules for Processing Complex Change Requests in Inbound Order Acknowledgments
The new version of the Oracle Purchase Order Acknowledgment Inbound message (Oracle-1-0-B2B-Purchase-Order-Acknowledgment-In-V2) has updated processing rules that support the following scenarios:
- If the Buyer Managed Transport check box is selected for a purchase order (PO) and the acknowledgment received includes a promised delivery date, the acknowledgment is now processed and no longer skipped as before. Additionally, the promised delivery date is recorded, along with a note. You need to create two descriptive flexfields at the PO line level for this purpose, B2B Provided Date and B2B Provided Date-Note. If the Buyer Managed Transport check box isn't selected for a PO and the acknowledgment received includes a promised ship date, the acknowledgment is processed, and the two descriptive flexfields are populated.
- A unit price may now be included with an item substitution code. When the acknowledgment is processed, the price on the PO line is updated, and the substitute item is recorded in the descriptive flexfield created for this purpose (B2B Substitute Supplier Item).
- When a part number correction is provided in the acknowledgment received, the supplier item number can be updated on the PO line if the feature Correct the Supplier Item Number on Purchase Orders is enabled. Otherwise, you need to create a descriptive flexfield for B2B Part Number Correction, which will be populated with the corrected part number.

Hide Inventory Management Infolets
The landing page of the Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management work area contains a number of infolets that provide you with key information to show you what's going on in your warehouse or something that you need to follow up on. However, in some instances these infolets may not provide the exact information you want your users to review and act on. In these situations, you have the ability to build your own dashboards using Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence and hide the seeded infolets. Prior to this update, if you wanted your users to refer only to your configured dashboard, you had to get each individual user to hide the predefined infolets from view. Even once the users hid the infolets, there was no guarantee they wouldn't later unhide them. Now you have the ability to permanently hide the predefined infolets for your entire organization at once so each user doesn't have to do it individually. After you hide the infolets for the entire organization, users won't be able to unhide them.
Alternatively, if the seeded infolets meet the requirements for your organization but provide information in a time horizon that's too long, or take too long to load, you now have the ability to select the number of days used to display information in three of the infolets. Specifically you can set the Receipt Lines, Expected Receipt Lines, and Backordered Supply Lines infolets to display data for 30 days or 7 days using the Date Range for Inventory Management Infolets profile option. The default setup is 7 days for the Awaiting Receipt portion on the three infolets. You can change this to 30 days if required.
Edit Features
Now data is displayed on the Receipt Lines, Expected Receipt Lines, and Backordered Supply Lines infolets (Awaiting Receipt portion) for 7 days by default. You can change it to 30 days depending on your business needs.
Receive Expected Shipments
Expected Receipt Lines - Infolet Shows Data for 7 Days by Default
You may now use the Date Range for Inventory Management Infolets profile option to display data on the Receipt Lines, Expected Receipt Lines, and Backordered Supply Lines infolets (Awaiting Receipt portion) for 7 days or 30 days. The default is set to 7 days.

Assign Items to Subinventories and Locators Using Subinventory Items and Locator Items REST Resources
In industries like retail distribution, the goods you carry and the locations where you store goods within your warehouse can change rapidly and often. In this changing landscape, you need a quick way to find the locations a particular good is stored, delete or update those assignments, and assign new goods to multiple locations. Now, using the Subinventory Items or Locator Items REST resources, you can quickly assign a single item to or delete a single item from multiple subinventories or locators, update specific subinventory or locator attributes for the assigned item, and delete the item’s assignment to one or multiple subinventories or locators.
These new REST resources differ from the existing Subinventories REST resource because the Subinventories REST resource works in the context of a single subinventory. This means that you can add multiple items to a single subinventory or locator using the Item Subinventories or Locator child resources. However, the new Subinventory Items and Locator Items REST resources work in the context of an item. Therefore, you can add multiple subinventories or locators to a single item.
The new Subinventory Items and Locator Items REST resources provide you with a way to efficiently manage all of the location assignments for your goods without the need to make multiple REST transactions.
Steps to Enable

Transact Lots Without On-Hand Quantity
Whenever your business has a considerable time lag between the movement of stock and the recording of transactions, system quantities can quickly become less than the physical quantities in material storage locations. Because you don't want to track the exact order the transactions are performed, you allow negative balances in your organization so that users can enter the transactions in the order they are reported. Prior to this update, lot-controlled items could only be transacted in this manner if there was already an existing positive or negative on-hand balance for that lot in the material location. However, if there was zero on-hand quantity for a lot in a location, you couldn't perform any transactions against it. For example, your employees physically moved lot-controlled goods from the storage to staging area, and then loaded the goods into a delivery truck for transfer to a warehouse next door as part of an interorganization transfer. Contrary to the physical flow of goods, the paperwork for the interorganization transfer is turned in before the subinventory transfer paperwork moving the goods from storage to staging. Prior to this update, because the staging subinventory didn’t have any on-hand quantity for the lot, you couldn’t perform the interorganization transfer transaction in Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management until after the subinventory transfer was entered. Now, you have the ability to transact against lots with zero on-hand balances for Interorganization Transfers, Miscellaneous Transactions, and Subinventory Transfers when your organization allows negative balances.
This feature potentially avoids waiting for on-hand quantities to be transacted into stores before allowing their consumption. It can also avoid exception errors occurring for the same reason, saving resolution time. This is particularly relevant when integrating disparate systems.

Substitute Items During Pick Release for Transfer Order Lines with Budgetary Control
Prior to this update, substituting your requested goods during pick release for transfer orders was only possible if the transfer request wasn’t tied to budgetary control. Now you have the ability to allow item substitution during pick release for your transfer orders that are enabled for budgetary control.
When the substitution happens at pick release, there's no change to the existing funds reservation and there are no new approvals generated for the substitution. The funds reservation release and posting of any variance due to a cost difference between the original item and substitute item occurs when the transaction is processed through Oracle Cost Management.
The process starts with the creation of an internal requisition under budgetary control for an expense destination. The transfer order created by the internal requisition is also under budgetary control.
Internal Requisition
The requisitioned item is available on the transfer order. The Allow Item Substitution column is checked on the transfer order line if valid substitutes are setup for the item.
Transfer Order
The shipment line is created with the requisitioned item. Once the line is pick released, picks are created for substitute items if sufficient on-hand quantity for the original shipment line isn't available.
Manage Shipment Lines
The pick slip shows the substitute item picked since the on-hand quantity for the requisitioned item isn't sufficient.
Confirm Pick Slip
The shipment line shows the requisitioned item and its substitute after pick release, and can be further processed to ship confirm.

Disable PAR for Specific Items
When using periodic automatic replenishment (PAR) within your facility, situations arise that dictate the need to temporarily omit specific items from your PAR process. This can happen when a supplier notifies you of a long-term backorder due to supply shortages, or when an item's inclusion in a specific PAR location is seasonal. In these instances, you don't want to delete the item from the PAR location so you can keep the already established PAR settings and quantities. Prior to this update, deleting items from a PAR location was the only way to prevent PAR requests, but doing so meant you lost the established PAR settings. Now you can exclude specific items from your PAR process by setting the Replenishment Count Type to Not Planned at the item subinventory or item locator level. When the Replenishment Count Type to is set to Not Planned, any PAR requests you submit for the item won't be considered for replenishment. Specifically, when you submit a PAR request with items that are not planned, the Replenish Inventory Requests REST resource returns this message: Some items weren't selected for replenishment because the items were set up as not planned. This ensures that unnecessary replenishment requests aren't processed for incorrect or needless supply.
Item Subinventory
Item Locators
This feature provides you greater control of your PAR process by giving you the ability to stop PAR orders for specific items while still maintaining your already established PAR settings and quantities when situations arise that require you to temporarily stop PAR requests.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- You can exclude items from your PAR process by setting the Replenishment Count Type to Not Planned at the item subinventory or item locator level.
- When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to Not Planned at the item subinventory level, then your item won't be considered for the PAR process regardless of the value set for the Replenishment Count Type at the item locator level.
- When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item subinventory level and the Replenishment Count Type is set to Not Planned at the item locator level, then your item won't be considered for the PAR process.
- When your subinventory is locator controlled and the Replenishment Count Type for a specific item is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item subinventory level and the Replenishment Count Type is set to any value other than Not Planned at the item locator level, then the item will be be considered for the PAR process.
- When the Replenishment Count Type is set to Not Planned at either the item subinventory level or item locator level, then it overrides the Override Replenishment Count Type value when using the Item Subinventory REST resource.

Generate Fiscal Documents in Bulk for Shipments in Brazil
The Brazilian fiscal government authority requires that a fiscal document (Nota Fiscal in Portuguese) must accompany shipments to document trade between suppliers and customers. The Brazil outbound shipment flow streamlines the process flow for fiscal document generation and approval for shipments originating from inventory organizations based in Brazil. Now you have the ability to request the fiscal document for your Brazil-based shipments in bulk by selecting multiple shipments on the Manage Shipments page and then clicking the Request Fiscal Document action.
Manage Shipments
This feature increases efficiency and reduces the number of manual steps required to request fiscal document generation for your Brazil shipments by letting you submit multiple shipments at once.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- The Request Fiscal Document action is available for shipments shipping from an inventory organization associated with a Brazil business unit that's enabled for fiscal document processing.
- Prior to this feature, the Request Fiscal Document action wasn't available to select when multiple shipments were selected on the Manage Shipments page. This feature lets you request fiscal documents when multiple shipments shipping from a Brazil inventory organization are selected.
- The request to generate fiscal documents is submitted when all the selected shipments are staged and meet all the requirements to request fiscal documents. When any of the selected shipments don't meet the requirements to request fiscal documents, the request isn't submitted for any of the selected shipments.

Ship Goods Without Sufficient On-Hand Quantity Using Quick Ship
When operating in high-demand seasons, you need to get customer orders fulfilled on time and as quickly as possible. During your busiest times, this might mean your warehouse operators are recording transactions on paper as they happen and then later entering those same transactions into the system. In this scenario, it’s easy for your employees to enter transactions out of order.
For example, in preparation for a large volume of outbound orders for the same good, you preemptively move that good from storage to your shipping staging area. However, you don’t record or you forget to record that subinventory transfer. As the day progresses, your shipping agents pull from these prestaged goods as trucks show up and just record what they shipped for each order on paper. As the quantity in the staging area gets low, your picking agents quickly move more quantity from storage to staging but don’t record those transfers either. Periodically your inventory manager collects the shipping agents’ paperwork and records the shipping transactions in the system using quick ship functionality. However, the very first quick ship transaction would have been unsuccessful because none of the subinventory transfers were recorded in the system yet. Instead of having to chase down the busy picking agents to gather the total quantity moved from storage to staging, your shipping manager just wants to record the shipping transactions now and then record the subinventory transfers later. When this happens, you need a way for these out-of-order system transactions to process successfully because the physical transactions have already happened. Now you can ship your plain, serial numbered (serial generation at sales order issue or pick), or lot-controlled goods regardless of on-hand quantity using quick shipments when your organization allows negative balances.
As one example, you can perform a quick ship transaction for a lot which has been defined in the lot master and has zero or less than zero on-hand quantity.
Manage Lots
The subinventory defaults on the Manage Shipment Lines page based on the quick ship setting on the Manage Shipment Parameters page, but you can change the subinventory. The list of values for the Lot field displays the on-hand quantity across all the subinventories.
Manage Shipment Lines - Lot List of Values
The Save action on the shipment line enables the line for quick ship.
Manage Shipment Lines - Quick Ship Status
The on-hand quantity is driven negative by the sales order pick or sales order issue transaction for the shipment line enabled for quick ship.
Manage Item Quantities
Additionally, you can perform ship confirm transactions from a 3PL or WMS system when you don't have on-hand quantity for a lot-controlled item in an organization enabled for Allow negative balances, but not enabled for the Enable quick ship option. The lot record must exist in the lot master to perform such transactions.
This feature provides you the ability to successfully ship your plain and lot-controlled goods irrespective of your actual on-hand quantity in a material location when using quick ship and allowing negative balances in your organization. This is most beneficial when recording transactions that were already physically performed, but entered out of order.

Manage Inventory Organizations
Tips And Considerations
General Information:
- You should ensure receipts are processed for subinventories which have run into negative on-hand balances to ensure the inventory accuracy.
- When the organization is enabled for Allow Negative balances and when prior reservations don't exist for sales orders, the reservations aren't created when shipment lines are enabled for the quick ship option for an item with zero or negative on-hand quantity.
- When the organization is enabled for Allow Negative balances, the prior, high-level reservations aren't detailed when shipment lines are enabled for the quick ship option for an item with zero or negative on-hand quantity.
- The quick shipment transactions for an item which lead to negative on-hand balances will fail on the Manage Pending Transactions page when there are open picks for the same item. You need to confirm the open picks to clear the quick ship transactions stuck on the Manage Pending Transactions page.
Lot-Controlled Items:
- Ship confirmation transactions from a 3PL or WMS system allow you to have negative on-hand balances for lot-controlled items when an organization is enabled for the Allow Negative balances option, but not enabled for the Enable quick ship option on the Manage Shipping Parameters page.
- The on-hand quantity in the list of values for the Lot field provides aggregate on-hand quantity from all the subinventories when the Allow Negative balances check box is enabled for an organization on the Manage Inventory Organization page. It doesn't show only the on-hand quantity in the subinventory entered on the Manage Shipment Lines page.
- The lot number should exist on the Manage Lots page in order to perform the quick ship transaction for a lot-controlled item with zero on-hand quantity.
- You can't perform quick ship for an item enabled for Lot Indivisible when it's on-hand quantity is zero.
- The disabled or expired lots don't appear for selection in the list of values for the Lot field for a shipment line on the Manage Shipment Lines page.
Serial Controlled Items:
- You can perform quick ship transactions only when you have greater than zero on-hand quantity for items with the Serial Generation set as Predefined serial number or Dynamic entry at inventory receipt.

Send Shipment Lines Using Only a Specific Subinventory to a 3PL or WMS for Nonlot Items
Subinventories provide a way to separate your on-hand quantities to meet specific segregation requirements. Prior to this update, there was no way for you to select and send shipment lines to your external execution system using only the on-hand quantity available in a specific subinventory. Thus, you couldn't control releasing your shipment lines to an external system based on a specific subinventory segregation approach. Now the Generate Shipment Request process honors the Pick-from Subinventory field on your pick wave release rule, and the Pick-from Subinventory field is available on the Create Outbound Shipment Request process.
When specifying the pick-from subinventory, all shipment lines eligible for release to your external execution system are evaluated against the subinventory you selected. If there's sufficient quantity to fulfill the shipment line from that subinventory, the shipment line is sent. If there isn't sufficient quantity to fulfill the shipment line, the line is either not sent or partially sent depending on the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option. Specifically, if the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to Fully reserved lines, then the shipment line is sent only if the entire ordered quantity is available, while the Partially reserved lines setting sends any available quantity for the shipment line. In both instances, the process creates a detailed reservation to the pick-from subinventory for the quantity sent to your external execution system unless there's an existing detailed reservation to a different subinventory. If there's an existing detailed reservation to a subinventory that isn't the pick-from subinventory, the quantity reserved isn't considered for release and the existing reservation isn't changed. In other words, the existing detailed reservation takes precedence over the pick-from subinventory. Additionally, if the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to All lines without creating reservation, then the pick-from subinventory is ignored and all shipment lines are sent without creating any reservations.
You'll see new fields on the Create Outbound Shipment Request page when you enable the Send Shipment Lines Using Only a Specific Subinventory to a 3PL or WMS for Nonlot Items opt-in.
Create Outbound Shipment Request
The reservations are detailed to a subinventory and locator when the Pick-from Subinventory and Pick-from Locator fields are specified on the Create Outbound Shipment Request page.
Manage Reservations and Picks
The shipment lines are interfaced to external systems if adequate inventory is available in the pick-from subinventory.
Manage Shipment Lines
This feature also provides you the ability to detail the reservations based on the subinventory provided on the order line, even when you don't provide the pick-from subinventory on the Create Outbound Shipment Request page.
Create Orders
Reservations are detailed for the subinventory provided on the order line when you run the Create Outbound Shipment Request process without specifying the pick-from subinventory.

If you don't have adequate inventory for an item in the subinventory provided on the order line, then you can override the order line subinventory by providing the pick-from subinventory on the Create Outbound Shipment Request. This allows you to fulfill the order from another subinventory with adequate inventory for the item.
This feature provides you greater control over how shipment lines are sent to your external execution system to make sure your customer orders are prioritized properly.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management No Longer Optional From: Update 23D
Tips And Considerations
- The reservation is detailed to a subinventory and locator even when you run the Create Outbound Shipment Request process without specifying values for the Pick-from Subinventory and Pick-from Locator fields if you provide the subinventory on the order line in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management.
- You can run the Create Outbound Shipment Request process with the Prior reservations only check box selected and also specify a value for the Pick-from Subinventory field. This sends only the shipment lines with prior reservations to external systems and details the reservations for the pick-from subinventory.

Purge Shipping Interface and Exceptions
When loading large volumes of shipping transactions during data migration or external integrations, a simple data entry mistake could be replicated in thousands of lines. Whether you catch this mistake before the lines are processed or after, you need a quick way to delete a large number of lines with incorrect data. Now you can run the Purge Shipping Interface scheduled process to purge data from the WSH_TRANSACTIONS_HISTORY, WSH_DEL_DETAILS_INTERFACE, WSH_NEW_DEL_INTERFACE, WSH_DEL_ASSGN_INTERFACE, WSH_DEL_DETAILS_HOLD_INTERFACE, WSH_FREIGHT_COSTS_INTERFACE, and WSH_INTERFACE_ERRORS tables.
Purge Shipping Interface Scheduled Process
Similarly, after closing your shipping exceptions, you need the ability to purge old and outdated exceptions that are no longer applicable. Now you can run the Purge Shipping Exceptions scheduled process to purge data from the WSH_EXCEPTIONS table.
Purge Shipping Exceptions Scheduled Process
These processes provide you with a quick and easy way to delete a large volume of transactions from the shipping interface or exceptions tables.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- Use the Purge Shipping Interface process to delete shipping interface records created by the Shipment Request Import FBDI template, Perform Shipping Transaction Import FBDI template, Shipment Line Transaction Requests REST resource, Shipment Transaction Requests REST resource, Shipment Request SOAP service, and Material Shipment SOAP service.
- Consider running the Purge Shipping Interface process periodically to delete old shipping interface records that aren't required. Keeping the size of the shipping interface tables small improves the performance of the Receive Shipment Request and Perform Shipping Transactions scheduled processes. It also improves the performance of the Manage Shipment Message Interface and Manage Shipping Transaction Corrections in Spreadsheet ADFdi workbooks.
- Use these parameters in the Purge Shipping Interface process to select the shipping interface records you want to delete:
- Review Only: Indicates if the process needs to delete the selected records, or only print the number of selected records in the process output file. By default, the Review Only check box is checked.
- From Creation Date: Starting creation date if you want to use a range of creation dates to select shipping interface records for purge.
- To Creation Date: Ending creation date if you want to use a range of creation dates to select shipping interface records for purge.
- Purge Cutoff Days: Indicates the number of days of shipping interface records to keep. Only records older than the entered number of days are selected for purge.
- Transaction Status: The status of the shipping transaction history associated with the shipping interface records you want to select for purge.
- Interface Type: Interface type of the shipping interface records you want to select for purge. Use Shipment request to select shipping interface records created by the Shipment Request Import FBDI template, Shipment Line Transaction Requests REST resource, and Shipment Request SOAP service. Use Shipment transaction request to select shipping interface records created by the Perform Shipping Transaction Import FBDI template, Shipment Transaction Requests REST resource, and Material Shipment SOAP service.
- Document Number: Document number, such as order number or shipment number, of the shipping interface records you want to select for purge. Use the order number to select shipping interface records created by the Shipment Request Import FBDI template, Shipment Line Transaction Requests REST resource, and Shipment Request SOAP service. Use the shipment number to select shipping interface records created by the Perform Shipping Transaction Import FBDI template, Shipment Transaction Requests REST resource, and Material Shipment SOAP service.
- Load Request ID: Specific file-based data import (FBDI) load request ID of the shipping interface records you want to select for purge.
- Use the Purge Shipping Exceptions process to delete the shipping exceptions in Closed and No Action required statuses.
- Consider running the Purge Shipping Exceptions process periodically to delete old exceptions that aren't required. Keeping the size of the shipping exceptions table small improves the system performance and enhances the performance of the Review Shipping Exceptions page.
- Use these parameters in the Purge Shipping Exceptions process to select the shipping exception records you want to delete:
- Review Only: Indicates if the process needs to delete the selected records, or only print the number of selected records in the process output file. By default, the Review Only check box is checked.
- From Creation Date: Starting creation date if you want to use a range of creation dates to select shipping exception records for purge.
- To Creation Date: Ending creation date if you want to use a range of creation dates to select shipping exception records for purge.
- Purge Cutoff Days: Indicates the number of days of shipping exception records to keep. Only records older than the entered number of days are selected for purge.
- Exception Name: Name of the shipping exception you want to select for purge.
- Type: Type of the shipping exception you want to select for purge.
- Severity: Severity of the shipping exception you want to select for purge.
- Status: Status of the shipping exception you want to select for purge.
- The shipping exceptions with a severity of Error are backed up in the WSH_EXCEPTIONS_PURGE_BKP table before being purged by the Purge Shipping Exceptions process. The number of days of shipping exception records to store in the backup table is defined in the Number Of Days Of Purged Data To Retain In Shipping Purge Backup Tables profile option (ORA_WSH_PURGE_BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYS). This profile option value is set to 1095 by default.
Here's how to configure the profile option:
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, click the Task panel tab.
- Click Search and enter Manage Administrator Profile Values.
- Click Manage Administrator Profile Values to open the page.
- Enter the Number Of Days Of Purged Data To Retain In Shipping Purge Backup Tables for the Profile Display Name or ORA_WSH_PURGE_BACKUP_RETENTION_DAYS for the Profile Option Code and click the Search button.

Honor the Source Subinventory on the Shipment Line During Pick Release for Quick Ship Enabled Organizations
In special circumstances, you need to ensure that a specific subinventory is used to fulfill an outbound customer order. When this situation arises, your options include creating detailed reservations, specifying a pick-from subinventory on the pick wave, saving a specific subinventory on the shipment line before picking, and specifying the subinventory on a sales order in Oracle Fusion Cloud Order Management. Prior to this update, picking logic ignored the subinventory sent from Oracle Order Management and the subinventory specified on the shipment line prior to the line going through pick release if your organization was quick ship enabled. Now, picking logic honors the subinventory sent from Oracle Order Management on a shipment line when the organization is quick ship enabled. More specifically, picking logic uses the following hierarchy when determining which subinventory to use for allocating material to the order for quick ship enabled organizations:
- Subinventory used in a detailed reservation
- Pick-from subinventory specified in the pick wave
- Subinventory passed from Oracle Order Management
- Picking rules definition
This feature provides you with additional control in determining which subinventory to use when fulfilling your outbound customer orders.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management No Longer Optional From: Update 23D
Tips And Considerations
- Consider using this feature if your business requires either the Release Pick Wave or the Generate Shipment Request processes in a quick ship enabled inventory organization.
- If your organization is quick ship enabled, the Release Pick Wave process honors the source subinventory on the shipment line for allocating material. If your organization is not quick ship enabled, then the Release Pick Wave process honors the subinventory on the shipment line for allocating material.
- If your organization is quick ship enabled, the Release Pick Wave process and the Generate Shipment Request process use the source subinventory on the shipment line for selecting the shipment lines if subinventory is used as one of the demand selection criteria. If your organization is not quick ship enabled, the Release Pick Wave process and the Generate Shipment Request process use the subinventory on the shipment line for selecting the shipment lines if the subinventory is used as one of the demand selection criteria.

Send Only Shipment Lines with Prior Reservations to a 3PL or WMS
Inventory reservations provide a way for you to have more control over which orders to fulfill within your organization. For example, reservations help ensure scarce material is allocated to the correct order, or a specific customer's order is fulfilled without unexpected delays due to stockouts. Prior to this update, there was no way for you to select and send only those shipment lines which you previously reserved to your external execution system and exclude shipment lines without existing reservations. Now the Generate Shipment Request process honors the Prior Reservations Only option on your pick wave release rule, and the Prior Reservations Only option is available on the Create Outbound Shipment Request process.
When selecting the Prior Reservations Only option, only shipment lines that were previously reserved are sent to your external execution system when you run the Generate Shipment Request or Create Outbound Shipment Request processes. Shipment lines that don't have an existing reservation when the Generate Shipment Request or Create Outbound Shipment Request processes are run won't be considered for sending to your external execution system. Additionally, if the entire order quantity isn’t reserved, the line is either not sent or partially sent depending on the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option setting. Specifically, if the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to Fully reserved lines, then the shipment line is sent only if the entire ordered quantity is reserved, while the Partially reserved lines setting sends any reserved quantity for the shipment line. If the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to All lines without creating reservation, then the Prior Reservations Only option is ignored and all shipment lines are interfaced.
The Prior Reservations Only check box is added to the Create Outbound Shipment Request page when you opt-in to the Send Only Shipment Lines with Prior Reservations to a 3PL or WMS feature.
Create Outbound Shipment Request
When the order quantity is partially reserved and the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to Partially reserved lines, the shipment lines are interfaced only to the extent of the reserved quantity.
Manage Reservations and Picks
Shipment lines are interfaced for the partial quantity with prior reservation. When the shipment line is partially interfaced, the shipment line is split for the quantity interfaced to external systems and the quantity which is still in the Ready to Interface integration status.
Manage Shipment Lines
When the Reservation Behavior for Integration to External Systems option is set to Fully reserved lines, the shipment lines are interfaced only when the requested quantity on the shipment line is fully reserved.
Create Reservations
The fully reserved shipment line is sent to the external system.
Manage Shipment Lines
This feature provides you greater control over which shipment lines to send to your external execution system so you can make sure your customer orders are prioritized properly.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management No Longer Optional From: Update 23D
Tips And Considerations
- The pick wave release rule allows shipments with prior reservations to be interfaced to external systems when the Prior reservations only check box is selected. This functionality is supported even prior to the current update.
- With the pick wave release rule set up, the Generate Shipment Request process allows you to send only the shipments with prior reservations.
- You can now run the Create Outbound Shipment Request process with the Prior Reservations Only option in conjunction with the Pick-from Subinventory option. This sends the shipment lines only with prior reservations to the external systems and details the reservations with the subinventory selected as the pick-from subinventory.

Selected Shipping Bug Fixes in This Update
This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Shipping works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.
Update Required Fields to Save Shipping Parameters
Prior to this update, the Manage Shipping Parameters page didn't let you save a new record when a value wasn't provided for the Weight UOM Class, Volume UOM Class, Release Sequence Rule, Pick Slip Grouping Rule, and Staging Subinventory attributes even though these fields weren't indicated as mandatory attributes. With this update, these fields are now mandatory on the Manage Shipping Parameters page and you receive a message when you try to save the shipping parameter for a new organization without specifying any values for the Weight UOM Class or Volume UOM Class attributes. Additionally, you can't select a blank value for the Release Sequence Rule, Pick Slip Grouping Rule, and Staging Subinventory attributes, and a blank value doesn't appear in the list of values for these fields.

Update Cell Format for DFF Attributes on the Manage Shipment Corrections Spreadsheet
Prior to this update, the Shipment Lines tab on the Manage Shipment Corrections ADFdi spreadsheet displayed DFF columns with truncated values. Now the cell format for the DFF attributes is changed to text which lets you upload long integer values without any truncation.
Oracle reference: 34538890
Use Pick Wave Release Rule to Initiate Pick Release Even When No Shipment Lines or Orders Exist for an Item
Prior to this update, you couldn't define a rule on the Manage Pick Wave Release Rules page and you couldn't create a pick wave for an item on the Create Pick Wave page when there were no orders or shipment lines for the item. You can now define a rule for an item on the Manage Pick Wave Release Rules page, and use the rule to initiate pick release using the Create Pick Wave page even when there are no shipment lines or orders for an item.

Receive Goods and Services as the Requisition Preparer Using the Responsive Self-Service Receiving Application
Oftentimes, senior executives in your company don't always have the time to create or receive the goods they need to perform their organizational duties. Therefore, they have an administrative assistant that's responsible for creating and monitoring requisitions for these goods within Oracle Fusion Cloud Self Service Procurement. Similarly, an office department may assign a single person the responsibility of collecting and consolidating orders on a periodic basis. In these scenarios, both individuals are creating requisitions as the requisition preparer and entering the names of individuals requesting the goods as the requisition requester. When this happens, the requisition preparer might need the ability to create receipts for the orders once the goods are received from the suppliers. Now you have the ability to assign the Create Receipt for Procurement Preparer with the Responsive Self-Service Receiving Application privilege to your requisition preparers and allow them to receive goods and services using the new Responsive Self-Service Receiving application. Additionally, new smart filter chips have been added for the Requisition and Requisition Line allowing you to further refine your search.
Orders to Receive
This feature provides you more robust options for who can receive goods for your organization. Additionally, you can quickly search for your orders to receive and receipts using the new Requisition and Requisition Line smart filter chips.
Steps to Enable
Provide the required access before using the feature. Details are in the Access #Requirements section.
Tips And Considerations
Consider these tips and considerations to use the application to its full potential.
- My Receipts (New): To access the new My Receipts (New) navigation entry point, you must configure roles that contain the Receiving Self-Service Responsive Application User Duty (ORA_RCV_RECEIVING_SELF_SERVICE_PWA_USER_DUTY) duty role.

- Create Receipt for Procurement Preparer with the Responsive Self Service Receiving Application (RCV_CREATE_RECEIPT_PROCUREMENT_PREPARER_PWA)
- To set up this feature, you need this predefined job role:
- Predefined job role name and code: IT Security Manager (ORA_FND_IT_SECURITY_MANAGER)
NOTE: The Create Receipt for Procurement Preparer with the Responsive Self-Service Receiving Application (RCV_CREATE_RECEIPT_PROCUREMENT_PREPARER_PWA) privilege is not delivered as a seeded privilege. You must configure roles that contain the Create Receipt for Procurement Preparer with the Responsive Self Service Receiving Application privilege.
Selected Receiving Bug Fixes in This Update
This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Receiving works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.
Validate Organization, Receiving Subinventory, and Ship-to Location Specified on Receiving FBDI and REST Resources
Prior to this update, the receiving subinventory and ship-to location wasn't validated when creating a receipt using the Receiving FBDI and REST resource. With this update, the combination of organization, subinventory, and ship-to location of the receipt that's interfaced through the Receiving FBDI or REST resources is now validated against the organization and location defined in the subinventory setup.
Oracle reference: 34727019
Consider ASN Quantity on Direct Receipt of Purchase Order Schedule and Display Correct Error Message When Performing Overreceipt
Prior to this update, when the ASN was created for a partial quantity of a purchase order schedule with the overreceipt action set to Reject, and the user was receiving the purchase order schedule line, the tolerance quantity check of the line didn't consider the ASN line quantity. With this update, the tolerance quantity check on the purchase order schedule now reduces the ASN quantity, if any. Also, we've improved the message displayed while receiving using Oracle Receiving FBDI and REST resources.
Oracle reference: 34895350
Set Integration Status to Confirmed Only After the Purchase Order Schedule is Fully Received
Previously, for integration with a warehouse management system (WMS), if the purchase order was partially received in WMS, the integration status was changed to Confirmed for the receipt line and the purchase order schedule in Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management. This could be viewed on the Receive Expected Shipments and Receive Lines pages. This behavior prevented any change on such a purchase order to be communicated again to WMS. With this update, now if the purchase order is partially received in WMS, the integration status is changed to Interfaced for the receipt line and the purchase order schedule in Oracle Fusion Cloud Inventory Management, and any change on the purchase order schedule is communicated to WMS.

Use the Assignment Business Unit Attribute and Inbound Trace Attributes While Creating OTBI Reports
The Product Recall Management Real Time subject area in OTBI lets you analyze the recall to disposition cycle of a product in the supply chain. In this update, the Assigned Business Unit column is now available in the Product Recall Management real time subject area in the Recall Notice Header folder. This attribute helps you to get information about all the business units assigned to a particular recall notice.
The Business Unit attribute has been renamed to Owning Business Unit. It indicates the BU in which the recall notice was created.
Recall Notice Header Attributes
Also, key attributes of the inbound traceability status: Inbound Transaction Type, Inbound Document Reference, Inbound Resolution Status are added to this subject area in the Recall Trace Details folder. These attributes help you to analyze the inbound trace details of the recalled parts.
Recall Trace Attributes
The new columns of the Product Recall Management Real Time subject area enable you to better assess the impact of a recall on different organizations. You can further analyze how the recalled parts that are traced as inbound are resolved.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.

- Users who are assigned configured job roles that contain the Product Recall Management Transaction Analysis Duty ( FBI_PRODUCT_RECALL_MANAGEMENT_TRANSACTION_ANALYSIS_DUTY) will be able to access this subject area and configure the reports
Assign Multiple Business Units to a Recall Notice
You can now assign multiple business units to a recall notice.
These business units are the ones that:
- have the material management business function
- are managed by the same product recall manager who created the recall notice in a primary business unit for which the regulatory authority and recall parameters are defined
For recall notices issued by regulatory authorities, the business units coming under the purview of the same regulatory authority can be assigned to a recall notice when the enterprise has BUs across different countries.
Once you assign the business units to a recall notice, you can copy the business units from that recall notice to the subsequent notice that the same user creates in the same BU.
Also, you can now locate the recalled parts in one go in:
- the organizations related to the primary BU where the recall notice is created and
- all the organizations related to all the assigned BUs
This ability to assign multiple business units to a recall notice eliminates the need to repeat the creation of recall notice in each affected business unit and the need for executing the Locate action in each notice. This in turn reduces the overall manual effort and time in administering the recall notices. This enables the product recall manager to focus on reducing the recall to disposition cycle time.
Steps to Enable

Add Attachments to Lines and Tasks in a Recall Notice
As a Product Recall Manager, there could be scenarios where you may want to add new attachments to a recall notice line after the recall notice is published. Prior to this update, after you published a recall notice, you could only view the attachments of the recall notice, but not add new attachments. With this update, you can now add attachments to a recall notice line anytime.
Recall Notice Line Attachments
You can now add attachments to recall tasks too. You can further update attachments even after the recall tasks are completed. To add or delete attachments, click the Manage Attachments action for a task in the Recall Notice Progress page.

Prevent Creation of Distributions with Zero Value Cost Elements
Minimize the distribution lines created by the distribution processor by preventing distributions that wouldn't be considered by the Create Accounting process. The Create Accounting process ignores distributions where:
- The cost element is 0.
- The distribution line value is less than the minimum value the process derives based on the rounding rule, precision, and minimum accountable values set up for the ledger currency.
Prevent distribution lines where cost element = 0
The Create Cost Accounting Distributions process identifies transactions with cost elements that have a value of 0 and prevents distribution lines for these cost elements. Here are a few key aspects of this solution:
- Prevents 0 value distributions for all cost books, including those that aren’t mapped to a ledger (ledgerless books).
- Applicable for all kinds of transactions such as issues, receipts, write off costs, and so on.
- At least one non-zero cost element must exist in the item cost. If all the cost elements have a 0 cost, then this feature isn’t applicable.
- Applicable for the actual cost, periodic average and perpetual average cost methods.
Let’s consider this example of a perpetual average cost of an item.
Cost Element | Cost Element Type | Cost |
---|---|---|
Direct Material | Material | $5.00000 |
Indirect Overhead | Overhead | $1.00000 |
Freight | Overhead | 0 |
Demurrage | Overhead | 0 |
Handling Charges | Overhead | 0 |
Total | $6.00000 |
Now, consider a sales order issue transaction is created for 100 Each.
Without this feature, 10 distribution lines are created.
Accounting Line Type | Cost Element | Debit | Credit |
---|---|---|---|
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Direct Material | $500.00 | |
Inventory | Direct Material | $500.00 | |
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Indirect Overhead | $100.00 | |
Inventory | Indirect Overhead | $100.00 | |
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Freight | $0 | |
Inventory | Freight | $0 | |
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Demurrage | $0 | |
Inventory | Demurrage | $0 | |
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Handling Charge | $0 | |
Inventory | Handling Charge | $0 | |
Total | $600.00 | $600.00 |
With this feature, only 4 distribution lines are created.
Accounting Line Type | Cost Element | Debit | Credit |
---|---|---|---|
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Direct Material | $500.00 | |
Inventory | Direct Material | $500.00 | |
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Indirect Overhead | $100.00 | |
Inventory | Indirect Overhead | $100.00 | |
Total | $600.00 | $600.00 |
Apply currency precision to prevent distribution lines with negligible values
Here are a few key aspects of this solution:
- The distribution processor uses the values set for Minimum Accountable Unit, Precision, and Rounding Rule to identify the lower threshold of journal entries that would be created. It then uses this lower threshold to identify the distribution lines that need to be created. Distribution lines are created with the maximum precision and aren’t rounded up based on the currency settings.
- The prevention of distribution lines based on currency precision is applicable only for cost books that are mapped to a ledger and is applicable to all transaction types for which distributions are created.
- If the rounding rule is set to Up, then all distribution lines will be created because all distribution lines will be rounded up to the precision value. For example, if the distribution line value is $0.00005 and the precision value is 2, then the Create Accounting process will round this up to $0.01
Let’s consider this example of a perpetual average cost of an item.
Cost Element | Cost Element Type | Cost |
---|---|---|
Direct Material | Material | $5.00000 |
Indirect Overhead | Overhead | $1.00000 |
Freight | Overhead | $0.00000067 |
Demurrage | Overhead | $0.004540300 |
Handling Charges | Overhead | $0.00000230 |
Total | $6.00450597 |
Now, consider a sales order issue transaction is created for 100 Each. The currency used is USD, Precision is set to 2, and Rounding Rule is set to Nearest. The Minimum Accountable Unit isn’t set. This setting is used by the Create Accounting process to identify the rounding rule and minimum values for the journal entries that it creates.
Without this feature, 10 distribution lines are created.
Accounting Line Type | Cost Element | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Debit | Credit | Debit | Credit | ||
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Direct Material | $500.00 | $500.00 | ||
Inventory | Direct Material | $500.00 | $500.00 | ||

Inventory | Freight | $0.000067 | $0 | ||
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Demurrage | $.4540300 | $0.45 | ||
Inventory | Demurrage | $0.4540300 | $0.45 | ||
Deferred Cost of Goods Sold | Handling Charges | $0.000230 | $0 | ||
Inventory | Handling Charges | $0.000230 | $0 | ||
Total | $600.450597 | $600.450597 | $600.45 | $600.45 |
With this feature, only 6 distribution lines are created. You’ll notice that the distribution lines that are less than $0.01 (based on the currency precision of 2 and rounding rule of Nearest) aren’t created and only the lines that will be considered by the Create Accounting process are created by the distribution processor.

By creating only distribution lines that would be considered by Create Accounting process, the number of distributions will be greatly reduced. This will result in better usability and also improve the performance of UI, the cost processor, reports and analytics, and the Create Accounting process.
Steps to Enable
Use the Opt In UI to enable this feature. For instructions, refer to the Optional Uptake of New Features section of this document.
Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Materials Management No Longer Optional From: Update 23D
Tips And Considerations
- If all the cost elements for a transaction are equal to 0, then the cost processor won’t remove the distribution lines.
- If the rounding rule is set to Up, this feature isn't applied on the distribution lines, and all the distributions are created.

Exclude Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions for Accounting
You can select the Account Intravaluation Unit Transfers option in the cost profile to ensure that transactions using inventory control attributes below the valuation structure are also accounted. This option is used to process transactions that are within a valuation unit. For example, if the valuation structure is at cost organization and inventory organization, a sub-inventory transfer between two sub-inventories that belong to the same inventory organization won’t be used for cost calculations and will use the same cost for both the issue and receipt transactions.
If your inventory valuation accounts are specific to each inventory organization, you can choose to ignore these transactions. But, if your inventory valuation accounts are tracked at a lower level than the valuation unit and you still want to get better performance from the cost processor, you can set the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option to No while setting the Account Intravaluation Unit Transfers to Yes. This option is used to determine the behavior of various pick transactions such as Sales Order Picks, Transfer Order Picks, WIP Picks, and so on.
The Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option is available only when the Account Intravaluation Unit Transfers option is selected. You can select the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option if you want to process pick transactions that are within the valuation unit.
New option in cost profile to not process intravaluation unit pick transactions
Let’s consider this example of a sales order issue transaction. The cost processor will create cost distributions for the Sales Order Pick Receipt, Sales Order Pick Issue, and Sales Order Issue.
Review Cost Accounting Distributions shows pick transactions created for sales order issue
If the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option isn’t selected, then the cost processor will only process the Sales Order Issue transaction, as shown here.
Review Cost Accounting Distribution shows only sales order issue transaction is processed
The new option allows you to account intravaluation unit transfers but exclude the pick transactions, which can help improve the cost processor performance.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- If you have enabled the Account Intravaluation Unit Transfers option in the cost profiles and want to disable the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option, you can do so from the Manage Cost Profiles page.
- Any change to the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option will be applicable only for new transactions that are interfaced to Cost Accounting after this change. The change won’t be applicable retrospectively to older transactions.
- The Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option isn't applicable for consigned cost profiles.
-
For cost profiles created before 13.23.04.0 (update 23B), the Account Intravaluation Unit Pick Transactions option is selected if the Account Intravaluation Unit Transfers option is selected.

Write Off Accruals With No Receipts
You can now clear receipt accrual balances for purchases without receipts but with invoices matched to the order. This helps you to reconcile and clear old accrual accounts in accounts payable for orders that are closed or no further activity is expected in the period.
Here are few scenarios where this will be helpful:
- An invoice is matched incorrectly to a wrong purchase order (PO) distribution for which receipt didn't get created in the period.
- You have open invoices for a receipt that was corrected or returned and/or the PO is closed.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
- Only orders that are matched to an invoice are supported for clearing.
-
Only manual accrual clearing is supported for these orders on the Adjust Receipt Accrual Balances page.
-
Use Accrual Clearing Reason as the accounting source to derive the relevant account for the Receiving Inspection account.
-
If the accrual balance is cleared assuming no further receipts, and subsequently if receipts are recorded, you must manually reverse the accrual clearing for the accrual account to reconcile.

Selected Receipt Accounting Bug Fixes in This Update
This update includes some bug fixes that can change the way Oracle Receipt Accounting works. This isn't a full list of all the bug fixes in this update. This list includes the bug fixes that can cause a noticeable change in application behavior.
Updated Validation for Currency Conversion Date on Certain Invoices
Before update 23B, Oracle Receipt Accounting didn’t process foreign currency invoices with the currency conversion type set to User if the currency conversion date wasn’t available on the invoices. As a result, the invoices resulted in error and were reported in the period close activity as exceptions. In addition, the Create Cost Accounting Distributions process ended with warning. Update 23B relaxes the validation for currency conversion date on invoices created with the currency conversion type set to User, and earlier invoices that resulted in error will be reprocessed.

Process Electronic Transport Service Fiscal Documents for Bookkeeping and Payments
You can capture, process, and validate the fiscal documents used for cargo transport and other freight services with Model 67. The tax calculation and validation allows you to confirm the fiscal document information. You can also do fiscal reporting and compliance.
Here are the fiscal documents for electronic transport purpose only:
- Freight Other Services
- Freight Other Services Complementary
- Freight Other Services for Bookkeeping
- Freight Other Services for Bookkeeping Complementary
You can have either the regular freight other services fiscal flow or a bookkeeping version or both. There is no difference in the XML format of a regular freight other services fiscal document and the only bookkeeping fiscal document. If you want to use both options of the freight fiscal flow, then use the mapping set capability to specify the preference for flow identification.
Complete the following steps to define a preference for the automatic flow identification as part of the XML import flow.
- In the Setup and Maintenance work area, go to the following:
- Offering: Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management
- Functional Area: Receipt Accounting
- Task: Manage Mapping Sets
- Search for the mapping set: Fiscal Document Freight Fiscal Flow.
- Click to Edit the Mapping Set.
- In the Value Set area, click Add.
- Select 'ORA_CMF_FREIGHT_FISCAL_FLOWS_VS’ and click OK.
- Click Save.
- In the Mappings area, click Add to map the Model, Business Unit Identifier and Freight Document Fiscal Flow.
- You can further refine this mapping by Receiver Taxpayer ID and Supplier Taxpayer ID.
- You can import and export to manage mass uploads of data.
Use Mapping Set to Define Mappings for Fiscal Flow Derivation
You can now import freight fiscal documents with Model 67 that supports additional types of transport services flows.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
Tips And Considerations
-
Set the freight other services fiscal flow as active in the Manage Fiscal Flows page in fiscal document capture, before importing any freight fiscal documents with model 67.
Use Manage Fiscal Flows to Set Freight Other Services Fiscal Flow Active
- Use the mapping set capability to streamline the automatic import of freight fiscal documents with minimal user intervention.
- Do not add more than one value set to the mapping set. If you add more than one value set to the mapping set, then the fiscal documents fail to import through XML.
- You can define a generic mapping or a granular mapping using business unit, receiver taxpayer id, and supplier taxpayer id.
- Mapping defined at a granular level is prioritized over a generic mapping during fiscal document processing.
- Avoid mapping same combination to multiple fiscal flows to ensure error free import, process, and capture of the freight XML document.

Derive Sold to Legal Entity and Business Unit for Fiscal Documents Using Additional Parameters in XML Import
For businesses with complex and shared legal entity enterprise structures, you can now automatically derive the Sold to Legal Entity and Business Unit values for incoming Fiscal Documents using XML import. This helps you minimize manual intervention.
During XML import, the application uses the CNPJ details on the incoming XML fiscal document to identify the Legal Reporting Unit (LRU), and derive the Sold to Legal Entity and Bill to Business Unit details from the LRU.
In scenarios where either there is no business unit or there are multiple business units associated with the LRU, the business unit having the legal entity of the LRU as the default legal entity will be derived as the Bill to Business Unit. However, if these criteria are not met, the Bill to Business Unit value is not automatically derived. You will have to manually specify the Bill to Business Unit from the Manage Interface Exceptions page.
Improves automatic capture of fiscal documents by deriving correct sold to legal entity and business unit information.
Steps to Enable
You don't need to do anything to enable this feature.
