Awards Showcase Oracle Partner Innovation

Winners of the second Oracle PartnerNetwork Innovation Awards for EMEA The three winners of the second Oracle PartnerNetwork Innovation Awards for Europe, the Middle East and Africa announced recently in Dubai highlight the impressive level of technical proficiency shown by Oracle's partners. First prize was awarded to Pharmagest Inter@ctive (http://www.pharmagest.com) for its LGPI system which provides a low cost web based ERP solution for small pharmacies. Runner up prizes were given to Definitive Solutions AG (http://www.definitive.ch) and CAP SpA (http://www.cap.it).

Definitive Solutions developed myVisitor, an RFID based visitor management system which has applications in event management, hotels, retail and restaurants. CAP SpA was acknowledged for the work it carried out for Dolomiti Superski, a consortium of 12 ski areas and 45 resorts which wanted to be able to track and analyse the behaviour of their guests in real time.

In addition to a commemorative plaque and cash prizes of $5000, $3000 and $2000 respectively, the winners and their spouses were treated to a two night stay in Dubai for the event. Being presented with the awards at a partner event created a great degree of exposure for the winners, and some of them have already arranged to return to Dubai having been asked to demonstrate their solutions to local prospects in the region.

The OPN Innovation Awards are presented twice yearly to help foster and showcase outstanding solutions or initiatives based on Oracle products and technology. "Innovation is a way of life at Oracle and by working with partners we can help them offer sophisticated, affordable and industry-specific solutions," said Vasu Briquez, chair of the Oracle Innovation Board in EMEA. "We are delighted to be rewarding Pharmagest Inter@ctive, Definitive Solutions and CAP for their truly innovative solutions."
