We managed to lower provisions and prevent surprises because we can now predict costs. We have the ability to accurately project consumption, which led to savings of 30% in our infrastructure costs.

Emilio DavisChief Technology Officer, Khipu

Khipu is a financial technology company that offers a bank transfer payment system in Bolivia and Chile. Customers can send and receive funds using a simplified bank transfer. To support growth and improve its service offerings, the company needed to run its systems through data centers that were geographically closer to its customers. Khipu chose to move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) because it would help scale operations, improve user experiences, and lower costs while taking advantage of the Oracle Cloud Region in Chile. Using OCI, Khipu benefited from greater resilience, lower latency, and higher availability. In addition, the company could accurately project consumption for cloud resources, leading to a 30% savings in infrastructure costs.
