Business challenges

For more than six decades, TTK Healthcare has been one of India's most trusted providers of innovative healthcare products. Its portfolio ranges from health supplements to life-supporting medical devices, including the TTK Chitra Heart Valve, India's first indigenous heart valve prosthesis.

With more than 2,000 employees and 5 manufacturing units, the company wanted to transform its business operations to enable and empower decision-makers with faster and more accurate information.

Specifically, TTK needed to transform and streamline company operations with a focus on improving end-user experiences and reducing manual tasks. The company also wanted to minimize capital expenditures and reduce ongoing operational costs.

Its existing on-premises infrastructure lacked the flexibility to scale and was due for an upgrade.

Why TTK Healthcare chose Oracle

As an existing Oracle E-Business Suite user, TTK Healthcare determined Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) would be the best solution to stay ahead of growing customer expectations and effectively leverage data for rapid insights and improved service.

The company collaborated with Oracle to make the shift toward more automation and efficiency, improved data quality, and a modern infrastructure that could improve outcomes at a lower cost.

Results

With OCI, TTK achieved a complete transformation in how it manages back-office functions and reporting. The company has witnessed a significant improvement in performance and a decrease in operational costs.

Moving to OCI has given TTK Healthcare several other critical advantages. The company was able to move to an OpEx model instead of investing in CapEx every five years. The company is also better equipped to use data to speed up decisions and actions, improve uptime and performance, and reduce support effort.

The management team also gained system-wide visibility across business units, which has unlocked the potential of interconnected data, and allowed TTK to anticipate supply and demand fluctuations, and make value-based decisions in real-time.

For example, previously, the internal sales order process relied on hand-written requests sent via email. This resulted in user entry errors, frequent delays, and user dissatisfaction. With OCI, the end-to-end process is now automated and involves a single step to upload data, which has reduced errors, and improved productivity and user satisfaction.

Doyensys helped migrate the on-premise Oracle EBS to OCI. The highly skilled team applied a process-based approach to help TTK Healthcare go live without any surprises. The complete cut-over to Oracle Cloud was completed during a weekend.
