Before we adopted OCI, our tasks were quite manual because engineers had to stitch together information. With the migration to Oracle databases in the cloud, things are more streamlined, we’ve saved time, and our engineers can focus on more important things that matter to our business.

Singtel is one of Asia’s largest communications technology groups, with more than 800 million mobile customers across the region. The Singapore-based company needed a technology infrastructure provider to help consolidate its various databases to reduce IT costs and manual labor. It also wanted to move workloads to the cloud for better performance and costs—all while embracing a multicloud approach, which its customers require. To meet these challenges, Singtel is using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) multicloud database services for select workloads and Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer to consolidate databases in its own data center.
