Our employees in India are among the most passionate and active communities of Oracle Volunteers, donating thousands of hours each year to support causes close to their hearts.
In August 2018, Kerala, India was hit by devastating floods. Oracle and its employees came together to support relief efforts, packing education and hygiene kits and donating to Oracle's disaster relief campaign.
“Oracle Volunteering is one of my favorite programs at Oracle. It’s been immensely gratifying to serve my community through hands-on volunteering projects such as taking care of abandoned animals, spending time with children with special needs, planting trees, and conducting workshops for female students who are interested in pursuing technology careers.”
Oracle Volunteers collaborate with SEEDS Charitable Trust to collect books and set up a library for students at a government school.
Oracle Volunteers team up with Foundation for Excellence to offer workshops that introduce female students to careers in the growing field of information and communications technology (ICT).
Oracle Volunteers team up with iNaturewatch Foundation to remove plastic and trash along the shore of Pashan Lake.
Oracle Volunteers and students bring new life to Kammapalli School by planting trees and learning about ways to protect the environment.
Oracle Volunteers team up with the Food for Everyone Foundation to host a drawing competition to teach kids the importance of good hygiene and self-care.
Oracle Volunteers accompany adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities on an outing to enjoy the sights and sounds of Lalbagh Botanical Garden with FAME, India.
In addition to supporting employee-driven volunteerism year-round, Oracle’s corporate citizenship team organizes global initiatives that promote each of our three focus areas.
Every April, employees take action for a healthy planet in partnership with environmental organizations.
