Hanspeter Kipfer Biography

Executive Biography

Hanspeter kipfer is country leader for Oracle in Switzerland. He also carries the responsibility as leader for Tech Sales in Switzerland. Prior to assuming the role as country leader, Hanspeter Kipfer played an instrumental part in the success of Oracle's Engineered Systems in the region as Vice President, Engineered Systems, Oracle EMEA.

He joined Oracle in April 2006 through the acquisition of Siebel Systems where he held General Management responsibility for the Sales and Service Operations in Switzerland, Austria, Eastern Europe and CIS.

Mr. Kipfer has 20 years of experience in the technology industry. Prior to Oracle and Siebel, he spent two years with a German software start-up where he held senior leadership positions, including COO and Executive Vice President Global Sales.

Prior to this, Mr. Kipfer held various management positions at Sun Microsystems Inc. During his final two and a half years with the company, Kipfer ran the world-wide business which was generated or co-financed by the Multilateral Development Banks such as the World Bank, Inter American Development Bank (IDB) and/or the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) out of Washington D.C.
