CTS reduces costs by 30% with Oracle Cloud

Corporate Travel Services (CTS) is a Mexican travel agency with more than 20 years in the market and more than 600 employees. Dedicated to offering corporate services, the company manages travel within companies and also offers convention and group travel services. The flexibility and attention the company offers help it stand out in such a competitive market. “We have 24/7 support, all to ensure our customers’ travel experience,” says Alejandra Gutierrez González, CTS applications manager.
For CTS to offer constant attention to its customers, it needed reliable internal applications to run the business. That's why the company started looking for options to migrate its Oracle E-Business Suite ERP application to the cloud.
Why CTS Chose Oracle
The travel company chose Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to run its Oracle E-Business Suite because the cloud platform supports a higher level of availability than the other providers, which was of vital importance. Oracle offered CTS 99.95% availability, compared with the 97% availability the company previously achieved for its ERP application.
Another factor that cemented the decision was CTS’s 10 years of history with Oracle. The company has been running Oracle E-Business Suite and Oracle Business Intelligence for years, and this combination brought critical data within the same platform.

The clearest benefit for CTS has been a 30% savings in administration costs. The company no longer has to maintain the data center infrastructure to run its ERP system.
It also has sustained the high availability it wanted; a year after the implementation, CTS achieved full availability and uninterrupted operations, even during platform maintenance. The company also was able to use OCI to implement a VPN, providing a higher level of security. This is important because CTS recently obtained ISO 27000 and Payment Card Industry (PCI) certification, both of which obligate the company to increase security levels.
