Flutter Entertainment, the global leader in online sports betting and iGaming, is using Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to leverage its scale and change the game for its industry. With the help of Oracle Fusion Applications, Flutter will be able to increase productivity, expand business insights, and make smarter decisions as it continues to expand globally.
Flutter has over 14.6 million average monthly players across brands including FanDuel, Sportsbet, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, Paddy Power, Sisal, and Betfair. To support its move to the New York Stock Exchange in 2024 and enhance business processes, Flutter wished to move off its traditional on-premises technology systems. After careful consideration, and to complement its existing use of Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM), Flutter decided to move additional finance and supply chain processes to Oracle Fusion Applications.
“The global online sports betting and iGaming market continues to grow rapidly and remains extremely dynamic,” said David Ellis, Director of Global Finance Technology, Flutter Entertainment. “We needed a technology solution that befitted a company of our scale, but also afforded us the flexibility and nimbleness to continue to challenge our industry through the Flutter Edge. With Oracle Fusion Applications, we will be able to enhance processes with embedded AI capabilities to increase productivity, accelerate financial reporting, expand insights, and improve decision-making.”
Since 2023, Flutter has used Oracle Cloud EPM to help align financial and operational planning, close its books faster, and support its transition to reporting in US dollars. By adding Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Flutter will be able to consolidate on a single financial platform to support greater productivity and enable robust reporting controls following its listing on the New York Stock Exchange. In addition, Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM) will help Flutter connect supply chain processes and create more resilient operations, while Oracle Fusion Data Intelligence will help produce deeper insights from across the business.
“Flutter is leading a rapidly growing market as millions of sports fans around the world embrace online gaming and sports betting,” said Guy Armstrong, Senior Vice President of Applications, Oracle UK and Ireland. “With Oracle Fusion Applications, Flutter can embrace continuous innovation and leverage AI embedded in finance and supply chain workflows to increase productivity, reduce costs, and streamline operations.”
Deloitte has been selected as the business transformation partner to support Flutter in delivering this programme. With deep expertise in finance transformation and Oracle implementations, Deloitte will support Flutter to make a seamless transition to a cloud-first financial platform.
“Flutter’s finance transformation programme is a significant step in its growth strategy,” said Martin Jermyn, Oracle in Private Sector Industries Leader, Deloitte. “We are proud to work alongside the team, using our expertise in business and technology transformation as well as Oracle implementations to help drive success.”
