DP World Embarks on a Digital Transformation Project
DP World is one of the biggest enablers of global trade and an integral part of the supply chain, with around 78 operating marine and inland terminals. The company found success through multiple acquisitions. But this has complicated management processes, with DP World having 14 different ERP systems.
With that in mind, the company approached Oracle to consolidate and modernise its systems – enabling DP World to work more efficiently, uncover new business opportunities and automate processes.
So far, DP World is strengthening the core of its back office with Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Performance Management and Human Capital Management Cloud – creating a shared-services model that’s supported by a single global instance. By doing so, DP World will standardise and harmonise a number of business processes across different functions, including finance, procurement, planning, budgeting, reporting and consolidation.
