Oracle Virtual Desktop Client for iPad 1.1 - Interacting with your remote desktop applications and web pages is now easier than ever using the new two finger swipe scrolling gesture. The iPad user experience is also enhanced to include on-screen UI icons to easily display the keyboard and configuration / connections sidebar. Sun Ray 3 Series Clients Win the 2011 Silver International Design Excellence Award (IDEA) for Computer Equipment - Sun Ray 3 Series Clients were honored by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA) for their 'concept-through-production' focus on eco-friendliness in the design, materials, packaging, power consumption, weight/shipping, and carbon footprint; human factors such as no moving parts and a touch-sensitive power switch; and the consistency of features throughout the product line.
Sun Ray Software 5.2 - Sun Ray Software 5.2 simplifies installation, and provides virtual desktop users with an enhanced audio and video experience. New enhancements include: an integrated installer for Sun Ray Software components, the ability to clone a Sun Ray Software server from a template, a richer multimedia experience on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, USB headset support for specific devices, realtime audio with optimized audio bandwidth usage, and Solaris IPMP support for greater network resiliency. Sun Ray Device Operating Software enhancements include wider support for ISO-7816 defined smart card voltages (1.8, 3, and 5 volts), and support for Cisco VPN with hybrid authentication.
