London—October 29, 2018

Oracle has announced the winners of the Oracle Aconex Connect Awards in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. Now in its third year, the global awards honour customers worldwide for innovation in delivering significant construction and engineering projects efficiently and effectively. Winners for the Americas and APAC regions were announced separately.

As the industry matures, so does customer technology adoption and optimisation. These customers, who have demonstrated exceptional results using Oracle Aconex products, are at the forefront of embracing digital transformation to improve outcomes for all project participants. They typically see this positive change through greater process efficiency, project-wide visibility, and new insights helping to drive more informed business decisions and continuous improvement.

“The winners of the Oracle Aconex Connect Awards continue to demonstrate the powerful combination of forward-looking technology and strategic vision,” said Leigh Jasper, Vice President, Aconex Strategy and Operations, Oracle Construction and Engineering. “Through strong leadership coupled with enterprise planning, organisations can significantly improve processes in key areas such as field performance and project controls, safety and quality. Ultimately, this translates to what everyone in the industry wants to do – improve operability and meet growth objectives.”

“Through the implementation of Aconex, Turner & Townsend has been recognised as the market leader in realising benefits and best practices of technology standardisation on projects,” said Zheng Choo, Principal Consultant of Technology, Turner & Townsend.

Select results from the 2018 EMEA Connect Awards winners:

  • CODAH utilised BIM and Oracle Aconex to cut RFI cycles in half and reduce large file exchange time to just 2-3 minutes, a 10th of the time it used to take on the Digital City and Normandy Management School project.
  • Faithful + Gould achieved 1.5x faster data analysis on project schedule performance for their client, using Oracle Aconex and Oracle’s Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management in addition to their own Dynamic Insight solution. Additionally, they reduced report creation by 99 percent, from 3-5 days, to just a few minutes, providing up-to-date project information when needed and enabling better project decisions.
  • Horizon used Oracle Aconex to achieve a 25 percent improvement in operational efficiency through communication management enhancements across the project.

  • Turner & Townsend Company implemented Aconex for their client and cut model review cycles by 92 percent, taking just 3 hours on average, on their BIM project. For another client, they uncovered between £80 and £120M in potential revenue from vacant space by using Aconex as a common data environment in a property management implementation.
