Die Open Enterprise Linux Association (OpenELA) hat Linux-Quellen für Unternehmen veröffentlicht, die mit Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 9.5 kompatibel sind. OpenELA ist eine Non-Profit-Initiative für unabhängige Softwareanbieter (Independent Software Vendors, ISVs), unabhängige Hardwareanbieter (Independent Hardware Vendors, IHVs), Prozessorhersteller, Cloud-Service-Anbieter (Cloud Service Provider, CSPs), Telekommunikationsanbieter, Behörden und Organisationen des öffentlichen Sektors. Sie bietet schnellen, zuverlässigen, sicheren und kostenlosen Zugang zu Linux-Quellen für Unternehmen, um Downstream-Builds zu erstellen.
RHEL 9.5 wurde von Red Hat am 13. November veröffentlicht und die kompatiblen Quellen bereits am Folgetag über OpenELA zur Verfügung gestellt. Diesen gezielten Automatisierungsprozess hatte OpenELA bereits im Juli angekündigt. Der effiziente Release-Prozess von OpenELA stellt sicher, dass Entwickler von Linux-Distributionen für Unternehmen schnell die Vorteile der neuesten Versionen eines zuverlässigen, sicheren und tatsächlich quelloffenen Linux für Unternehmen nutzen können.
Die neuen v9.5 Repos stehen ab sofort kostenlos zu Verfügung
