*Om het vergelijken van prijzen tussen verschillende cloudserviceproviders te vergemakkelijken, worden op de webpagina’s van Oracle zowel de vCPU-prijzen (virtuele CPU’s) als de OCPU-prijzen (Oracle CPU’s) weergegeven voor producten met een op rekenkracht gebaseerde prijsstelling. Voor de producten zelf, de toewijzing via portal, facturering enz. wordt nog steeds gebruikgemaakt van OCPU-eenheden (Oracle CPU). OCPU's vertegenwoordigen fysieke CPU-cores. De meeste CPU-architecturen, inclusief x86, voeren twee threads per fysieke core uit. Daarom is 1 OCPU het equivalent van 2 vCPU's voor op x86 gebaseerde rekenkracht. Het OCPU-tarief per uur dat aan klanten in rekening wordt gebracht, is daarom twee keer zo hoog als de vCPU-prijs, aangezien zij voor elke OCPU de rekenkracht van twee vCPU’s ontvangen, tenzij het gaat om een sub-core-instance, zoals preemptible instances.
