This information is intended for individuals who are not employed by Oracle, traveling from outside the United States to attend Oracle OpenWorld and JavaOne 2017 in San Francisco, California from October 1 to 5, 2017.
During the registration process you will be asked if you plan to apply for a US visa for travel to the US. If you select “Yes,” be prepared to provide your passport information during the registration process.
Once your registration is completed, paid in full, and all required information is received, a signed statement confirming your registration and planned attendance will be issued. Please note that the confirmation document will not be processed for Discover packages.
If you plan to apply for a US visa, attendees are responsible for complying with all applicable US immigration laws, and for following the guidance at the US consular website where you submit an application. You should consult with your own employer or other resources, such as the US consular office website, regarding questions about US visas and requirements.

The cutoff for all registration deadlines is 11:59 p.m. (PT).
*Government rate: The government rate is open to bona fide employees of a national/federal, state, provincial, or local government entity, including public higher education institutions. US and Canadian attendees registering under the government rate will be required to show their employer-issued government ID or other proof of government employment during check-in at Moscone Center, the Hilton San Francisco, or the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Attendees from outside the US and Canada registering under the government rate will be required to fax or email proof of government employee status (copy of government photo ID or a letter on official government letterhead stating that they are an employee of that organization) to the Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne registration teams in order to receive the discounted rate. Oracle may, at its sole discretion, charge the full Oracle OpenWorld or JavaOne conference rate to anyone not satisfying these requirements. Government discounts, with or without an Oracle Appreciation Event ticket, are available to those who qualify.
Hotel Information
Oracle guarantees the lowest hotel rates at our official conference hotels. Based on availability, conference room rates are in effect until August 31, 2017 or until room blocks sell out. Hotel rooms are available on a real-time inventory system, and are first come, first served.

Please be aware of scams where you may be contacted about booking your hotel room for the conference. The Oracle OpenWorld housing team will not contact you directly by email or phone to solicit hotel reservations; you are responsible for booking your own reservations. The only time the Oracle OpenWorld housing team will proactively reach out to you is to announce that the booking system is live and/or to provide you with your final hotel confirmation details. The housing team can only assure room availability or rates for rooms booked during online registration or by direct contact with the Oracle OpenWorld customer service team. Reservations made through another source are at your own risk.
Group Pass
- Bulk purchase of five or more full conference packages at the same time.
- After purchase, attendees will use a discount code to register themselves.
Take advantage of group purchase discounts when you register five or more attendees for Oracle OpenWorld 2017. Purchases must be prepaid by credit card; the purchaser will receive a discount code for each registration purchased. The purchaser can then give out the discount codes to whomever will be attending (from their company or user group, for example), and individual attendees can register at their convenience using the discount code they have been given. Purchasers will also have the option to use one of the codes for themselves.
The more passes you purchase, the greater the discount.
- Register between 5 and 13 attendees to receive savings of up to 20% off the price of each registration.
- Register 14 or more attendees and receive a savings of up to 28% off.
Note: for your convenience you can use the group purchase option to buy two to four registrations in a single credit card transaction. However, only five or more registrations earn a discount.

Group Pass Guidelines
- The group discount is available only if you purchase five or more passes per order.
- Discounts are not cumulative across multiple orders; discounts are based on the quantity being purchased for each individual order.
- Discounts are not cumulative across conference packages—they apply only to the quantity purchased per package per order. For example, the purchases of seven full-conference passes to Oracle OpenWorld and seven passes to JavaOne do not qualify for the 14+ registration discount.
- Add-On package(s) can be purchased and added to your record by contacting OpenWorldReg@gpj.com. Group pass codes are not valid for any Add-On package(s).
- These group pass purchases cannot be combined with any other offers/discounts.
- If you plan to be a speaker, please do not purchase or use a Group Pass discount code to register; you will receive a complimentary pass if you are approved as a speaker.
- Government special rates are not offered within this discount structure.
- Payment may only be made by credit card.
- NO refunds are allowed for any group passes purchased.
