Oracle has been named a Leader in the 2023 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strategic Cloud Platform Services. Gartner recognizes Oracle as a Leader due to our vision and execution.
We believe that the recent recognition of Oracle as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for both Strategic Cloud Platform Services and Distributed Hybrid Infrastructure showcases Oracle Cloud Infrastructure’s (OCI) ability to meet customer needs, track record of innovation and continued growth strategy.
Oracle’s distributed cloud offers customers all the advantages of the cloud, with greater control over operations, data residency, and proximity. Today, OCI offers 47 public cloud regions across 23 countries, including two EU Sovereign Cloud regions, to address data residency and data sovereignty requirements in that region. Oracle also operates separate U.S., U.K., Australian Government Clouds and Isolated Cloud Regions for U.S. national security purposes. All deployment options offer over 100 cloud services across infrastructure and applications to support IT migration, modernization, and innovation.
Oracle’s multicloud approach enables customers to combine cloud services from multiple clouds to optimize cost, functionality, and performance. OCI leads the industry in working with cloud partners to deliver strategic products such as Oracle Database@Azure, which will be available in the East US region starting in December 2023. It will give customers direct access to Oracle database services on OCI deployed in Microsoft Azure data centers. This service, along with MySQL HeatWave on AWS, and Oracle Interconnect for Azure, allows customers to be able to choose and deploy with the cloud that best meets their needs.
Oracle offers customers access to AI wherever they need them, including the latest innovation in generative AI. Our Fusion Apps provide AI embedded in the applications such as Fusion ERP and HCM. Our database layer provides built-in AI with Vector database for Oracle Database and Autonomous Database, Autonomous Select AI and generative AI/ML with MySQL HeatWave. In addition, OCI provides customers with high-performing generative AI models that leverage state-of-the-art enteprise-grade large language models and are improved with Oracle’s unique industry knowledge and data insights. All of this built on a superior performing AI infrastructure with AI Supercluster technology.
