Astute Business Solutions Migrates
from AWS to Oracle IaaS
Astute Business Solutions is an applications consulting firm specializing in PeopleSoft implementations and services.
Astute has built a business around helping their customers make their transition to the Cloud. They take on-premises implementations and migrate them to the Oracle Cloud where they host them and provide additional value-added services.
Our customers are looking to cloud to reduce TCO and improve performance and reliability for Oracle Applications. Being a customercentric company, this need was at the heart of Astute’s decision to move from Amazon Web Services to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure as a Service for development, test, disaster recovery, demonstrations and hosting of customer solutions.Arvind Rajan

Darling Ingredients Modernizes
Infrastructure in the Cloud
Darling Ingredients is the world’s largest producer of sustainable ingredients. Operating in over 200 locations across five continents, the company aims to turn natural bio-nutrient residuals into necessary resources.
Darling Ingredients was housing its aging infrastructure in a colocation facility. With its critical systems showing signs of wear, and its colocation contract coming up for renewal, Darling wanted a way to modernize its approach—without introducing new costs.
Darling chose to move its IT infrastructure into the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and can now get the reliability and high performance its applications demand—while also minimizing maintenance requirements and costs.
One payroll application previously took six and a half hours to fully process. With OCI, it can now complete payroll processes in under three hours.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Database on bare metal met our stringent performance requirements. Having predictable, high bandwidth connectivity to our end users is critical, and Oracle FastConnect was a great solution.Tom Morgan,

Entrust Datacard Safeguards Systems
with Cloud Disaster Recovery
Entrust Datacard Corporation is a leading provider of trusted identity and secure transactions solutions. Serving customers in 150 countries, Entrust Datacard helps consumers, citizens and company employees make purchases, access e-gov services or log onto corporate networks securely, anytime from anywhere.
A long-time Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) user, Entrust Datacard wanted to update its disaster recovery environment to ensure business continuity in the event of a data-center-wide outage. With a costly colocation center housing its DR environments, Entrust Datacard wanted a way to modernize its backup and recovery systems, while also reducing costs.
While initially put off by the potential costs of cloud solutions, Entrust Datacard found a cost-effective, secure cloud solution with Oracle. Since migrating its DR sites to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Entrust Datacard only pays for what it uses rather than having to pay CapEx for hardware—all while enjoying a truly scalable, flexible solution.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure offers 10x the IOPS of Entrust Datacard’s previous DR systems.
In the future, we may move our production deployment to the cloud with a fully loadbalanced application stack to support the whole company. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is really the best place to run Oracle applications in the cloud.Jim DeVos
