Clay Magouyrk is executive vice president of engineering for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. He is responsible for engineering and technical operations for Oracle’s enterprise-focused infrastructure-as-as-service (IaaS) platform and focuses on service delivery for an expanding product portfolio including compute, storage, networking, edge, and containers.

Magouyrk is a founding team member of Oracle’s cloud engineering development center in Seattle, tasked with building and deploying Oracle’s next-generation cloud infrastructure. He now leads a team of thousands of cloud engineers focused on supporting customers’ most mission-critical workloads via best-of-breed products and solutions.

Prior to joining Oracle in 2014, Magouyrk spent four years as a senior engineer at Amazon and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Before that, he spent two years at Hilton Hotels in engineering. His experience has been focused on highly secure, reliable, performance-based systems. Magouyrk holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of Memphis.

Karl Miller is a US Navy veteran and currently works as Director of Product Management for OCI Security Products. He has more than 20 years of experience in cyber security in cryptography, identity & access management, and has spent the last 6 years focused heavily on security cloud services and workloads. He holds patents in federated authentication and currently resides near Atlanta, GA.

Chris Pasternak is a Managing Director with Accenture and responsible for their Oracle Technology business in North America, including Oracle IaaS and PaaS. Chris has spent the last 19 years working with Oracle technology and applications, specifically focused on optimizing clients’ experiences with Oracle applications like PeopleSoft and Oracle Technology, such as Fusion Middleware and Database.

In 2015, Chris also took responsibility for launching Accenture’s global presence in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Since then, he has helped Accenture deploy OCI teams around the world, with hundreds of practitioners certified in Oracle IaaS and PaaS capabilities. In the last two years, he has focused on helping large clients deploy OCI solutions and migrate applications to OCI in the Retail, Life Sciences, and Public Sector markets. Last year Chris co-authored two white papers that explored the performance, cost benefits, and deployment options for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, specifically as it relates to Autonomous Databases, as well as the OCI/Azure Interconnect.

Chris lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin with his wife and two children. He enjoys spending time with the kiddos and wood working. He also has been working with the TEALS program to help teach computer science at a local high school.

Tom Morgan has thirty years of IT experience, and has spent 20 years deploying Oracle technologies to support Oracle applications. He is currently leading the Global Cyber Intelligence group for Darling Ingredients.
