Billings Clinic – Logan Health, a network of 25 hospitals serving a vast rural area across Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas, faced mounting clinician burnout as its 1,200 physicians and other advanced practice clinicians juggled direct patient care and time-consuming, inefficient documentation processes. Physicians had to take notes manually during each patient discussion, then enter the notes into the patient’s EHR, while dealing with calls, emails, and other interruptions. Such administrative work left the group’s physicians feeling fatigued and dissatisfied, and it cut into the time they could focus on patient care. It became clear to Billings Clinic – Logan Health that this administrative load posed a risk to staff retention and the patient experience. The organization needed to help streamline and automate clinical notetaking.

Why Billings Clinic chose Oracle

Billings Clinic – Logan Health selected Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent after a comprehensive evaluation that included competing voice-to-note and documentation solutions. Billings Clinic – Logan Health physicians found Oracle Health’s solution to be particularly effective at helping reduce documentation workloads and cognitive fatigue, producing relevant clinical notes directly from patient-physician conversations. The solution’s seamless integration with Oracle Health Foundation EHR was also a major differentiator: Rather than relying on complex interfaces, Oracle’s solution enables notes to flow automatically into physician workflows. Additionally, Billings Clinic – Logan Health valued Oracle’s clear roadmap for future enhancements within Oracle Health Foundation EHR—capabilities other vendors had yet to fully demonstrate.
