FineToday quickly builds global systems with Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications
A leading personal care products company, FineToday establishes a global business environment in just 11 months using Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and SCM.
“We don’t really have to think about integration. It is all seamlessly connected within the Fusion Cloud applications. The data from accounting documents created in supply chain management is fully reflected in ERP.”
When Japan’s FineToday was created as a spin-off of the personal care business of Shiseido, the new company had to quickly implement systems to run operations in 11 countries and regions in Asia. In about 11 months, FineToday stood up a standalone, global business using Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications, including Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and SCM, to manage accounting, finance, supply chain planning, product lifecycle, and other functions. Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS) helped the company choose the right solutions, and now CSS helps it use the suite most effectively to support its daily operations. Oracle Cloud SCM, for example, meets FineToday’s needs as a global manufacturer and distributor for inventory planning and control, supporting collaboration across regions and business functions. “Its strength lies in its comprehensive functionality. In other cloud solutions, planning services might be separate, which means they’re more expensive and require more money and effort to implement. But in Oracle Fusion Cloud, planning is built into SCM as a single offering, making it easier to implement,” says Hidehiko Komuro, FineToday Vice President, IT Department.
