Oracle participates in several key industry standard benchmarks to validate the performance and scalabilty of Oracle Database. The Transaction Processing Council ( TPC) organizes benchmarks for both decision support (DSS) and online transaction processing (OLTP) workloads. The DSS benchmarks are further segmented based on the size of the underlying database. In addition to TPC, Oracle participates in SAP benchmarks to assess the performance of Oracle Database using Enterprise Software.
