Sample Models and Scripts

 

With SQL Developer Data Modeler, you don't need to be connected to a database to create a design. You can start creating a new design from scratch open an exisiting design or import a DDL script to create a new model. Below are a set of models and DDL scripts based on the Oracle Sample Schema. Use these to get to know the Data Modeler.

SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.1 - Sample Data Models
For each of the scripts below, download and extract the zip file. Select File > Open and browse to the directory. There is an dmd file and folder of the same name. In each case select the top level dmd file.If you open a Data Modeler 2.0 data mdeler, the exstension is xml. Just select File > Save As... to save the model to the Data Modeler 3.1 format.
HR data model - Download zip and extract files, open hr.dmd
SH data model - Download zip and extract files, open sh.dmd
OE data model - Download zip and extract files, open oe.dmd
PM data model - Download zip and extract files, open pm.dmd
Full sample schema - Download zip and extract files, open all_schemas.dmd (this includes an ERD, Multi-dimensional, Datatypes and Relational model)

 

SQL Developer Data Modeler 3.1 - Sample DDL Scripts
For each of the scripts below, download and extract the *.sql from the zip file. Select File > Import > DDL File to import the script.
HR DDL Script - Import the HR sample
OE DDL Script - Import the OE sample
PM DDL Script - Import the PM sample
SH DDL Script - Import the SH sample

For each of the scripts below, download and extract the zip file. Select File > Open and browse to the directory. There is an xml file and folder of the same name. In each case select the top level xml file.
HR data model - Download zip and extract files, open hr.xml
SH data model - Download zip and extract files, open sh.xml
OE data model - Download zip and extract files, open oe.xml
PM data model - Download zip and extract files, open pm.xml
Multi-schema model - Download zip and extract files, open all_schemas.xml (this includes an ERD, Multi-dimensional and Relational model)
