Support For Sun Solaris 10 In Multi-Zone OperationOracle WebLogic Server and Oracle Fusion Middleware components (for example, Oracle Portal and Oracle SOA Suite) that are running on top of WebLogic Server can run in multiple zones of a Sun Solaris 10 system, with some limitations:
- All WebLogic Server features are supported in Solaris global zones.
- All WebLogic Server features are supported in Solaris non-global zones when using Exclusive-IP in the non-global zones.
- All WebLogic Server features except Whole Server Migration (automated or manual) are supported in non-global zones when using Shared-IP in the non-global zones. WebLogic Server Whole Server Migration is only supported in non-global zones when using Exclusive-IP in the non-global zones. For additional information on this topic refer to My Oracle Support Doc ID 976795.1.
For Oracle's support policy on Oracle products running on VMware, refer to My Oracle Support Doc ID 249212.1.
