About the public-sector discount
Oracle’s definition of public sector extends beyond (but includes) traditional government agencies and ministries. The definition also includes entities in which a government has 30% or more ownership, voting control, and/or the ability to appoint officers or directors. For example, airlines, financial institutions, telecom companies, utilities, energy exploration companies, hospitals, and other businesses can qualify.
Public-sector attendees registering under the government rate may be required to show their employer-issued government ID or other proof of government employment, as well as a government-issued photo ID, during check-in at the Oracle AI World registration desks at The Venetian Conference and Expo Center. Oracle may, at its sole discretion, charge the full Oracle AI World conference rate to anyone not satisfying these requirements, or it may cancel ineligible registrations. Government discounts, with or without the Oracle AI World party, are available only to those who qualify. Public-sector employees are not eligible to use a complimentary pass, group pass, or pass provided by another party to register for Oracle AI World. View the full terms and conditions for the public-sector pass here.

Request to attend JavaOne
To: [Manager name]
Subject: Request to attend JavaOne
Hi [Manager name],
I’m seeking approval to attend JavaOne from March 23 to 25, 2027, in Redwood City, California. Registration for the conference will open soon, and I’d like to have the budget approved in advance so I can secure the best rates.
JavaOne is organized by the team that builds Java. Its highly technical program includes learning sessions, hands-on labs, and keynotes focused on getting the most from Java today, understanding how it’s evolving, and exploring Java’s role in the agentic AI era. Both forward-looking and deeply practical, JavaOne is a truly distinctive learning opportunity. As the flagship Java conference, it’s also the only conference where attendees can hear directly from the key architects of the Java platform and actually engage with them in person.
