What will we cover

The goal of this OPN Boot Camp is to educate and make Oracle Partners aware of Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and the skills required for its implementation. The boot camp will be a combination of lecture and hands-on exercises. Partners attending the boot camp will gain valuable skills in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition and implementation best practices.

Upon completion of the bootcamp, participants should be able to:

• Articulate the value proposition of OBIEE
• Describe various customer use cases spanning multiple verticals and customer roles (e.g. CFO, Procurement Analyst, etc.)
• Install OBIEE
• Establish Connectivity between the BI Server and data sources of relational and non-relational types
• Define the Physical, Business and Presentation layers of for an OBIEE implementation
• Understand OBIEE implementation architecture design decisions and design for requirements such as High Availability
• Integrate OBIEE with MS Office
• Design and develop representative and/or typical reports and dashboard scenarios

Who should attend

This bootcamp is intended for prospective implementers of Oracle BI EE or implementers that are currently familiar with the basics of OBI EE and looking to strengthen their base of knowledge in the product. Attendees should have experience and familiarity with the concepts of data warehousing and business intelligence.

Ideal participants are Oracle partners (SIs and resellers) with backgrounds in business information systems and a clientele of customers with ongoing or prospective business intelligence initiatives. Alternatively, partners with the background described above and an interest in evolving their practice to a similar profile are suitable participants.
