Oracle VM Templates

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.3 (32-bit), Oracle E-Business Suite 12.1.1 (64-bit and 32-bit) and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.X Sparse Middle Tier (32-bit)

This virtual deployment package delivers a "quick start" of E-Business Suite on Oracle Linux. By using the templates, an E-Business Suite environment can be brought up and running quickly. The templates are pre-configured for Vision Demo or fresh install database. Please refer to the E-Business Suite 12.1 Install Guide or Document Library for production use configurations.

Oracle VM template for Oracle E-business Suite 12.1.3 (32-bit):

• The template consists of two virtual machines: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Application Tier and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Vision Demo Database Tier.
• The database tier VM includes Oracle Linux 5.5 and Oracle Database 11.2.0.1 with E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 Production database with data.
• The applications tier VM includes Oracle Linux 5.5 and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.3 applications node. Note that the 10.1.3.5 and 10.1.2.3 Oracle Homes are also shipped in the application tier node.
• Review the Deployment Guide before downloading the template; or you can refer to My Oracle Support Knowledge Document 975734.1.

Oracle VM Templates for Oracle E-business Suite 12.1.1 (64-bit and 32-bit):

• The template consists of two virtual machines: Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Application Tier and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Vision Demo Database Tier.
• The database tier VM includes Oracle Linux 5.3 and Oracle Database 11.1.0.7 with E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 Vision demo database with data.
• The applications tier VM includes Oracle Linux 5.3 and Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 applications node.
• Review the Deployment Guide before downloading the template; or you can refer to My Oracle Support Knowledge Document 975734.1.

• Download the Oracle VM Template for Oracle Applications E-Business Suite 12.1.1 from Oracle Software Delivery Cloud (see Oracle Software Delivery Cloud Instructions below)

Oracle VM Template for Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.X Sparse Middle Tier (32-bit)

• This small OracleVM template contains Oracle Linux 5.5, and just enough Oracle E-Business Suite code to enable the creation of a middle tier instance (web/application/batch servers).  
• The template requires an Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 be already installed somewhere on the network, with the application tier file system exported so that it can be mounted on the virtual machine. Please note that this template does not depend on any particular version of Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12: it can be used with any supported version of Release 12 and any patch level. 
• The Oracle E-Business Suite 12.X Sparse Middle Tier virtual machine created out of the template can function like any other application tier.  They can be used as part of a new E-Business Suite instance, or to add capacity (a new application tier node) to an existing instance of Oracle E-Business Suite.

Oracle Software Delivery Cloud Instructions:
Visit http://edelivery.oracle.com/oraclevm
Complete your registration information (Name, Company Name, Email Address and Country) and click on the download agreement
Select "Oracle VM Templates" from the "Select a Product Pack" pull-down menu
Select "x86 64 bit" or "x86 32 bit" from the "Platform" pull-down menu
Click "Go" and then select Oracle E-Business Suite from the list of Oracle VM Templates
Download and unzip the files and read the readme

For large downloads, or for functionality such as download resuming, the use of a download manager is highly recommended.
