DigitalGlobe
Tutorial |
This tutorial explains how to use DigitalGlobe’s
imagery web service and its jImageConnect Javascript API and ImageBuilder
SDK with Oracle FMW MapViewer. That is it explains how to use imagery
content, served up as tiles, from DigitalGlobe in Oracle MapViewer
based web mapping application. It first outlines how to use DigitalGlobe
imagery as a basemap in a MapViewer application using the Oracle
Maps Javascript API and its external tile layer interface. Then
it goes into advanced usage of the various APIs, namely DigtalGlobe’s
jImageConnect and ImageBuilder and MapViewer’s Oracle Maps,
to query, select and display imagery collections by date, resolution,
or sensor.
The tutorial deals with the two use cases (display default imagery
collection as a basemap, and allow the user to query the imagery
collection metadat and select imagery to be displayed) and assumes
necessary knowledge of Oracle MapViewer, its Oracle Maps APIs, Javascript
programming, and DigitalGlobe web service APIs. (Zip

MapBuilder
Tutorial |
This tutorial describes the steps to create MapViewer
metadata for some spatial tables containing columns of type SDO_GEOMETRY.
First we import the sample data, next we create some styles, then
themes that use these styles, and finally we define a base map that
can be used in an Oracle Map application. (Zip
