One of New Zealand’s leading privately owned healthcare groups adopts Oracle Cloud HCM to accelerate hiring, expand insights, and enhance workforce operations
Auckland, New Zealand—May 13, 2026
Tāmaki Health, one of New Zealand’s leading privately owned healthcare groups, is using Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications to support its mission of improving health and wellbeing outcomes through accessible, high-quality care. With Oracle Fusion Applications, Tāmaki Health has simplified complex HR processes, including on-boarding and employee learning processes, expanded workforce insights, and reduced hiring timelines from months to around three weeks.
Founded in the 1970s, Tāmaki Health serves 365,000 patients across 52 clinics in New Zealand and employs more than 1,000 staff that provide care to approximately 5,000 people each day. To support increasing demand for healthcare services while managing ongoing workforce constraints, Tāmaki Health needed to replace its legacy, on-premises HR, recruiting, and learning systems as they were slowing down recruitment and limiting visibility into employee skills, training, and performance. After careful evaluation, Tāmaki Health decided to move its HR processes to Oracle Cloud HCM to address these challenges and establish a scalable cloud platform that could efficiently support its growth.
“As demand for healthcare services continues to grow, we need a more agile and scalable approach to managing our workforce,” said Lisa Ryan, chief people, culture & capability officer, Tāmaki Health. “Oracle Cloud HCM has helped us modernise our HR operations, automate key processes, and better support our clinicians so they can focus on delivering accessible, high-quality care to the communities we serve. With a single source of truth for all workforce data, we can harness AI-driven insights, improve workforce planning, and optimise the candidate and employee experience.”
With Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), part of Oracle Fusion Applications, Tāmaki Health has streamlined key HR processes. For example, Oracle Cloud HCM has enabled Tāmaki Health to create a more responsive applicant experience, accelerate hiring and on-boarding, improve employee record accuracy, and optimise contract generation and compliance reporting.
“Healthcare providers need to operate with more efficiency and tighter workforce management to deliver high standards of care,” said Jason Langley, managing director, Oracle New Zealand. “With Oracle Cloud HCM, Tāmaki Health has been able to quickly and easily take advantage of the latest AI innovations to unlock real-time workforce insights, streamline hiring, improve workforce visibility, and enhance employee development as it continues to expand across New Zealand.”
The implementation was managed by Deloitte New Zealand, a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN).
