Oracle Opens Second Public Cloud Region in Italy

Oracle Cloud Turin Region will enable more organizations in Italy to take advantage of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to accelerate AI innovation and enhance business resilience

Milan, Italy—November 19, 2025
Turin

Oracle is opening its second public cloud region in Italy to meet the rapidly growing demand for its AI and cloud services. Located in Turin, the new cloud region will enable more enterprises, startups, and public sector organizations in Italy to take advantage of Oracle’s industry-leading AI and cloud computing services, including the latest generative AI and multicloud capabilities. TIM Enterprise (TIM Group) is the host partner for the new cloud region.

Part of Oracle’s distributed cloud strategy, the Oracle Cloud Turin Region will provide public and private sector organizations access to a wide range of AI and cloud services to migrate all types of workloads from their data centers to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), modernize their applications, and innovate with data, analytics, and AI. In addition, OCI’s sovereign capabilities help ensure that data remains within borders, enabling customers in regulated, public, or government sectors to meet data sovereignty and other regulatory requirements.

“Oracle is driving one of the fastest cloud infrastructure expansions in Italy to help our customers quickly and easily adopt the latest AI and cloud services,” said Andrea Sinopoli, vice president, Cloud Technology country leader, Oracle Italy. “The opening of our second cloud region in Italy reaffirms our commitment to helping organizations in Italy of all sizes and across every industry innovate with AI to boost business resilience and growth.”

The new Oracle Cloud Turin Region marks a significant expansion of Oracle’s AI infrastructure capacity in Italy. It builds on the existing Oracle Cloud Milan Region and will help organizations across key industries in Italy—including design, retail, advanced manufacturing, automotive, and pharmaceuticals—take advantage of the latest AI innovations such as OCI AI Agent Platform, OCI Generative AI Service, and Oracle AI Data Platform. In addition, it will enable even more members of Italy’s AI startup and investor community to gain access to OCI’s industry-leading infrastructure for AI training and inferencing.

Oracle is uniquely placed to help customers in Italy address a variety of data privacy, sovereign AI, and low latency requirements as it is the only hyperscaler that can deliver more than 200 AI and cloud services at the edge, in a customer’s datacenter, across clouds, or in the public cloud. With more than 200 cloud regions live and planned globally, customers can choose the deployment model that best fits their business needs without compromising performance, governance, or compatibility with the public OCI experience.

In addition to its public cloud regions in Milan and Turin, Oracle supports an Oracle Alloy region for Polo Strategico Nazionale (PSN) to deliver hyperscale cloud and AI services to the Italian government.

About Oracle Distributed Cloud

Oracle’s distributed cloud delivers the benefits of cloud with greater control and flexibility. Oracle’s distributed cloud lineup includes:

  • Public cloud: Hyperscale public cloud regions serve any size of organization, including those requiring strict EU sovereignty controls. See the full list of regions here.
  • Dedicated cloud: Customers can run all OCI cloud services in their own data centers with OCI Dedicated Region, while partners can resell OCI cloud services and customize the experience using Oracle Alloy. Oracle also operates separate U.S., UK, and Australian Government Clouds, and Isolated Cloud Regions for national security purposes. Each of these products provide a full cloud and AI stack that customers can deploy as a Sovereign Cloud.
  • Hybrid cloud: OCI delivers key cloud services on-premises via Oracle Exadata Cloud@Customer and Compute Cloud@Customer and is already managing deployments in over 60 countries. Additionally, OCI Roving Edge Infrastructure, which consists of multiple configurations of ruggedized and portable high-performance devices, helps customers leverage remote AI inferencing at the edge.
  • Multicloud: OCI is physically deployed within all the hyperscale cloud providers, including AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, providing low latency, natively integrated Oracle AI Database services, including Oracle Database@AWS, Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@Google Cloud; and Oracle HeatWave on AWS and Microsoft Azure. Oracle Interconnect for Microsoft Azure and Oracle Interconnect for Google Cloud allows customers to combine key capabilities from across clouds.
