Billing and economics

Can existing Oracle Database license(s) be used with Oracle Database@AWS?

Yes. You can leverage your existing investment in Oracle Database licenses using the Bring Your Own License (BYOL) program, which allows you to continue paying existing Oracle support fees while deploying those licenses to Oracle Database@AWS at a reduced cost.

Any valid, supported Oracle Database licenses are eligible for BYOL, including, but not limited to, licenses purchased via an unlimited license agreement (ULA) or via a fixed quantity license agreement. However, Oracle Database licenses that are supported via a third-party support organization are not eligible for the BYOL program.

If you do not have an existing license or have an insufficient quantity of licenses, License-Included consumption can be purchased through the offering.

Can Oracle Database@AWS customers use Oracle Support Rewards?

Yes. Oracle Database@AWS usage can accrue the same Oracle Support Rewards as eligible OCI spend.

Will the purchase of Oracle Database@AWS contribute toward AWS commitments?

Yes. Oracle Database@AWS usage qualifies for your existing AWS commitments.

Will the use of Oracle Database@AWS contribute toward an existing Oracle or OCI contract and commitment?

No.
