About Heathrow Airport

Heathrow is the UK’s biggest airport and Europe’s largest airport, connecting the United Kingdom to more than 230 destinations in nearly 90 countries worldwide.

Business problem: Legacy reporting and inconsistent processes limited insight

As Heathrow planned for long-term growth, it launched a back-office program to standardize finance and HR processes and improve consistency across operations. Spreadsheets and manual reporting workflows limited the ability to answer more complex questions across finance and HR. Reporting packs relied on manual extracts and copy/paste steps, creating delays and data-consistency risks.

Solution and results: Standardize finance and HR on Fusion Cloud Applications

Heathrow implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM) to bring key finance and HR workflows together in a single cloud platform.

Beyond standardization and automation, the program supported a shift toward more data-driven decision-making by improving access to trusted insights and helping leaders act on real-time data. Heathrow also uses Oracle Billing and Revenue Management for multi-million-pound B2B transactions with airlines.
