Oracle Launches AI Services Practice Powered by OpenAI Technology to Put Enterprise AI to Work

Consulting practice combines Oracle’s technologies and implementation expertise to help customers build enterprise-scale AI solutions

By Oracle Customer Success Services—27 October 2026

Oracle and OpenAI

Oracle is establishing an AI consulting practice powered by OpenAI technology to help customers develop, deploy, and scale AI solutions.

The new Oracle AI Services Practice will combine OpenAI's advanced AI models; Oracle's enterprise applications, data, and cloud infrastructure; and the industry expertise and delivery capabilities of Oracle Customer Success Services (CSS). Oracle and OpenAI will work closely together to train Oracle CSS teams, with OpenAI contributing expertise in its technology. Oracle CSS will lead customer engagements and delivery.

Organizations are now shifting from AI experimentation to production. They want to move quickly, manage costs, and achieve measurable business outcomes while delivering consistent, enterprise-wide impact. The Oracle practice is planned to support customers throughout the AI adoption lifecycle, from identifying where AI can have the greatest impact in their business to helping test and validate solutions, connect AI to enterprise data and workflows, establish governance controls, help develop skills, and support ongoing AI adoption and innovation.

Bringing AI into Enterprise Applications, Development, Data, and Security

The Oracle practice is planned to focus on four areas:

  • AI Deployment in Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications: Enabling customers to use OpenAI models to build and deploy AI agents with Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, and to support reasoning, planning, and execution within Oracle Fusion Agentic Applications for high-value, complex, and long running work within Oracle Fusion Agentic Applications with Oracle Fusion Claw. Customers will be able to use built-in OpenAI models or bring-your-own-large-language-model (BYOLLM) options for supported OpenAI connections.

Oracle experts will help customers put these capabilities to work, providing support with agent customization and development, testing and evaluation for accuracy and reliability, and performance optimization through model selection and cost management.
  • AI Application Development with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI): Enabling customers to use OpenAI Codex and OpenAI APIs alongside OCI Enterprise AI to build, deploy, and manage production-ready solutions. OpenAI Codex will support application development, integration, testing, and evaluation, while OCI Enterprise AI capabilities, including OCI Sandbox for isolated code execution, help establish the infrastructure, security, and governance controls needed to deploy and run AI solutions at scale.

Oracle consultants will work with customers from implementation through ongoing operations, helping them develop and test applications, connect them to enterprise data sources, establish security and governance controls, and manage solutions after deployment.
  • Putting Enterprise Data to Work with AI: Helping customers use Oracle AI Data Platform, Oracle AI Database and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse, together with their choice of foundational models like those from OpenAI, to develop AI-powered applications and agents that work across enterprise and external data.

Oracle experts will work with customers to connect AI applications and agents to enterprise data sources, prepare data for AI use, and help ensure that solutions have the right business context, security, and access controls.
  • Strengthen Security with Frontier AI: Oracle and OpenAI are working to make advanced security testing easier for organizations to put into practice. Oracle AI Security Mesh, a managed service that uses OpenAI cyber models, helps customers find and fix vulnerabilities in their applications and infrastructure across OCI, other clouds, and on-premises environments before attackers can exploit them.

The service combines OpenAI frontier cyber models with Oracle’s testing tools, independent validation, testing infrastructure, and operational safeguards managed by Oracle, so customers don’t need to build and operate their own agentic defensive/offensive systems. Customers define where testing is authorized and control its scope, while Oracle manages the safeguards to reduce the risk of outages or business disruption during testing.

How the Oracle AI Services Practice Is Expected to Work with Customers

Oracle CSS will provide consulting and technical support throughout the AI adoption lifecycle, including:

  • Strategic planning: Oracle CSS Innovation Studios experts will advise customers on technology and industry trends, work with them to identify high-value AI use cases, and help align AI initiatives with their broader business strategy.
  • Technical development and implementation: Oracle CSS specialists will design, build, test, and deploy AI solutions using OpenAI technology, drawing on Oracle’s enterprise architecture, application integration, security, and implementation expertise.
  • Ongoing operations and innovation: Oracle CSS will help customers manage, monitor, secure, and improve their AI solutions after deployment, helping customers expand their use of AI and adopt new capabilities over time.

Building Expertise to Deliver AI at Scale

Enterprise AI adoption depends on skilled people who understand both AI and the business processes it is meant to improve. To build that capability, Oracle plans to train and certify one million developers and professionals—including consultants, customers, and partners—on OpenAI technology and products through Oracle University, in collaboration with OpenAI. The program will help build AI expertise among the people who design, implement, and run Oracle solutions.

The training will build on participants’ existing industry, business process, and Oracle technology expertise. The curriculum will include role-based learning programs for technical and functional roles, hands-on Codex training, practical AI engineering courses focused on enterprise use cases, and Oracle University certifications.

For Oracle consultants and partners, this investment will expand the expertise available to help customers move from AI pilots to broader adoption. For customers, it will strengthen their internal teams’ ability to adopt, govern, and operate AI solutions. Together, these efforts will help organizations address common challenges around AI implementation, security, governance, adoption, and ongoing operations.
