AI dominates the headlines. And is it any wonder? It’s already creating new ways of working and doing business. It’s also on track to transform traditional business processes, disrupt entire industries, and fuel growth across the world’s economies.
To help organizations capitalize on this once-in-a-generation shift and unlock unprecedented levels of productivity and innovation, we’re focused on partnering with our customers across industries to help them apply the right AI technologies, including generative AI and agentic AI, to the right business scenarios.
To make this possible, we embedded AI throughout Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications Suite to deliver end-to-end AI within workflows, at no additional cost. For example, last year we announced AI agents in Fusion Applications designed to help our customers reimagine how work gets done across finance, supply chains, HR, sales, marketing, and customer service. And there’s so much more to come!
Here are my top five AI predictions for the next year:
- AI will prove its value as a partner: Fears around AI replacing employees will dissipate this year as predictive, generative, and agentic AI capabilities become essential to making the workplace more productive. Employees will realize that using AI helps elevate their work and enables more strategic and meaningful roles.
- The gap between AI haves and have-nots will widen: 2025 will be the year that AI becomes part of many enterprises’ DNA as organizations apply it across nearly all areas of business. But this increase in adoption will draw a clear line between those that capitalize on AI benefits and those that don’t. Organizations that invest in AI will have a distinct advantage, while organizations that don’t run the risk of being left behind.
- Enterprise patience will be tested: Many organizations will expect AI to result in immediate and significant ROI on a feature-by-feature level, which may push them to back out of their investments too early. Patient business leaders will recognize the long-term value inherent in adopting, innovating, and iterating AI.
- Employee productivity will soar with AI agents: The most productive employees will come to rely on AI agents this year. These agents will become productivity multipliers, autonomously executing complex workflows on behalf of employees. Managing, monitoring, and interacting with AI agents will become the new normal in early adopter organizations.
- Business leaders will be bombarded with options: As the AI agent hype keeps growing, many vendors boast about their fleet of agents, but organizations should focus on quality over quantity. While it may seem nice to have hundreds of thousands of options to choose from, the selection process will soon become daunting and introduce challenges with testing, monitoring, measuring results, accuracy, security, and cost. As AI agents go mainstream, curation will serve organizations better than sheer volume.
The hype around AI agents is ever-growing, and the enterprise opportunities they will create are potentially endless. AI is ready to help you drive innovation and growth today.
Are you ready for it?
