Cognition+ provides SaaS for Canadian mutual insurance carriers. It offers brokers, agents, and policyholders a complete portfolio view to help them manage risk. With an entirely remote workforce and growing demand from customers to access and transact policy information, Cognition+ sought a more dependable, performant, and efficient IT infrastructure than what other on-premises environments could provide. Because the company was familiar with Oracle Database, it decided to migrate to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) with Oracle Database Service. After the implementation, performance increased significantly, monthly costs dropped by 20%, and the company was able to provide enhanced disaster recovery services to improve recovery time and compliance.
