Seguros SURA integrates insurance and risk management solutions in Chile. The company was burdened with maintaining two data centers and managing a VMware environment (infrastructure and licensing). It decided to decommission its own data centers and move all its applications to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution. The Oracle Cloud regions in Santiago and Valparaiso, Chile, were key reasons why the agency decided to go with Oracle Cloud. The company moved from 16 nodes on-premises to 8 nodes of Oracle Cloud VMware Solution. After closing its own two data centers, Seguros SURA decreased the time spent on managing infrastructure by more than half. It also saw a 35% reduction in TCO and a 75% performance increase. Overall, consolidating all VMware environments in one cloud increased the company’s productivity, resiliency, and efficiency.
