“The feedback from our clinical providers has been incredible. Many have described the transition as a ‘game changer’ and are encouraged with each new feature added to Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent.…We think Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent has been one of the most important additions to our clinical workflow.”
VCHCA is the County of Ventura’s public healthcare system offering both hospital and primary/specialty clinical services to the people of Ventura County, California.
In November 2024, the VCHCA and the Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent team installed the mobile application on physicians’ phones. The solution generates a draft clinical note for the physician’s review, approval, finalization, and sign-off directly from their conversation with consenting patients. This helps reduce the time spent on their notes.
Over the past 12 months since go-live, providers (44 of 91) utilizing Oracle Health Clinical AI Agent for at least half of their notes have seen a reduction in time spent in Oracle Health Foundation EHR by 10.7% and documentation time by 27.3%.[1] The time saved enables these physicians to focus less on their computer screens and more patient care.
Looking ahead, Ventura County Health Care Agency plans to prioritize expanding usage and driving broader adoption of the technology.
