Port Washington, Wisconsin Data Center

The Port Washington project is expected to generate more than 4,000 union construction jobs and more than 1,000 jobs onsite. Local suppliers, vendors, contractors and residents will be prioritized with a union-first approach.

• The project will contribute $175 million for local infrastructure upgrades, including expanded capacity for water and wastewater treatment facilities, upgraded water mains and sewer lines, a new water tower and power infrastructure.
• It’s expected to generate more than $11 billion for the local economy.
• Additional initiatives will focus on restoring wetlands, increasing biodiversity, and minimizing light pollution.

70% of energy for the Port Washington campus will come from zero-emission sources, including wind, solar, and batteries. The project will add about 2,000 MW of new zero-emission power to Wisconsin’s grid, which means more reliable, affordable energy for local families and businesses. The project will fully fund all electrical infrastructure upgrades, requiring no increase to local energy bills.

The Port Washington AI data center uses a closed-loop, non-evaporative liquid cooling system that significantly reduces water consumption. There’s a commitment to being “water positive,” with restoration projects returning more water to the environment than the campus consumes.

The campus will consist of four buildings on 500 of its 672 acres. Remaining acres will be preserved as natural spaces.
