JavaFX Scene Builder

JavaFX Scene Builder is released under the Oracle BSD License. The source code is provided and developed through the OpenJFX Project in the OpenJDK Community. Please consult the OpenJFX Wiki for instructions describing how to download and build its source code. Please note that the source code for this application can be found in the "apps/scenebuilder" directory.


Starting with Oracle Java SE 8u40, Oracle does not provide a separate set of accompanying JavaFX Scene Builder binaries. If you would like to contribute changes, ideas or just let us know what you have done with the code, please consult the OpenJDK Community contribution guidelines and join the openjfx-dev mailing list.

Previous Releases

Mac, Windows, and Linux binaries for JavaFX Scene Builder 2.0 and older releases of the JavaFX Platform can be found here. Please note that applications targeted at JavaFX 1.3.1 or older cannot be developed with JavaFX 2.0 or later, but will continue running on older versions of JavaFX Runtime, until older versions reach their end of life.
