Oracle, Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, and Gadsden Independent School District Launch $1 Million Education Fund

Oracle today announced the establishment of a $1 million education fund to support the Gadsden Independent School District (GISD), helping educators, schools, and district leaders invest in opportunities that strengthen student learning and respond to the district’s evolving needs. Administered by the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM), the fund further demonstrates Oracle’s commitment to listening to community needs and supporting long-term opportunity across southern New Mexico.
“Every school and every classroom has unique opportunities and challenges,” said Nubia Tarazona, superintendent of Gadsden Independent School District. “This fund gives our educators and school leaders the flexibility to invest in the ideas, programs, training, and resources that will have the greatest positive impact for our students. We look forward to partnering with Oracle and the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico in advancing education across our district.”

The education fund is part of Oracle’s ongoing investment in Doña Ana County and southern New Mexico. Through initiatives including Oracle Academy, workforce development and community initiatives, Oracle is working with local partners to help educators and students build relevant skills and connect learning to future opportunity for New Mexicans.

Through the fund, teachers, schools, and district leaders will be able to apply for grants that support professional development, teacher fellowships and stipends, classroom initiatives, school and district wide programs, and other priorities identified by GISD. Grants will be awarded throughout the year.
